- Infrastructure of the campus is very good
- The professors for each subject are very well versed with their subjects and other subjects
- The Adminstration office is also very helpful with all the doubts
Dislikes
- There is no canteen in the campus which is disappointing
- Some equipments of the labs are not in working conditions
- Gym equipments and other sports equipments are not in good condition
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum follows electives due to NEP which followed by the institution. The curriculum is based on the real world applications and not only theoretical studies. All the topics and theories covered in the course is based on real world applications in industries and different companies.
Internships Opportunities
There are lot of companies for internship available with college placement cell. Like VVF, FDA, BARC etc With minimum stipend. Since its compulsory to do a 2 to 3 month internship during summer break as a part of curriculum.
Fees and Financial Aid
For part1 fee paid was 13000 and for part 2 it was 14000. With break up as follows: Tuition fee 1000, Lab fee 6000, Lib fee 1000, gym fee 400, examination fee 3500, developer fee 500, extra curricular 500 etc. For special categories the fee was around 2000 to 4000 per year.
Campus Life
There are many research paper and many reference books available in the library and can be borrowed or studid in the library it consists of research journals from 90s as well. Typically Philofiesta is arranged as fest in the college in the month of December and annual day with sports during january month. There are lot of other curricular activities including workshops National science day and many guest lectures.
Admission
I applied in WPU MIT pune but since it was a private institutions i was hesitant to join it. I also applied in Mumbai University kalina but due to committablity i chose HBSU as it is easy to come directly to CSMT rather than switching between locals to reach Santacruz. HBSU follows a merit based system for admissions.
Faculty
There are 2 written exams 40 marks internal which is divi7into two parts 20 marks written and 20 marks Presentation and then 60 marks for external written exams and practical exams. For part 2 there is additional Research Project presentation. All the faculties available are very good and very approachable every teacher eager to help out students regarding studies and exams.
Night Life
The College campus is in Colaba Fort it is exactly in the middle of South Bombay near Gate way Of india, Marine drive and Museum. There are a lot of cafe and restaurant which open at late night. The college campus is also near to the State Central Library.
