Unveiling IQ City United World School of Business

As I wanted to enter into corporate world I choose MBA course as it will be a benefit for my career. Where I was specially influenced with the Finance part, I have choose it as it will be a great oppurtunity for me to get a relevant job. Teh curriculam is very much relevant as it is totally dependent of real life activities as the marketing part of a company , the operation management , the environment of inside the company. We get to learn about all of these. Semester happens in every 6 months ( PGPM and MBA semester has a difference of 1 month).

The college offers Summer internship programmes every year, where companies like ITC, Godrej, Himalayas etc. offers internships. The college also offers live projects from companies like ITC, Dabur, Snap-cabs etc. offers live projects to the students along with stipends.

After the 2 semester the students become eligble for placement. The companies like Deloitte, EY, ITC, Berger paints, HDFC BAnk, Axis bank etc. come here for placements every year. Higest pakage is about 8 LPA and average package revolves around 6-7 LPA. More than 85% students gets placed every year. I am planning to get a job from here and boost my carrer.

So the Total fees for 2 years MBA programme is Rs.6,83,000, College provides a scholarship of Rs. 20,000 if the candidate has a overall percentage of 50% in his 10th, 12th and Graduation. First candidate have to pay a sum of Rs. 53,000 as a admission processing fees after the selection in personal interview. If the person is going to take a educational loan then the the payment will be done is 2 installments(Rs. 6,10,000). First installment is of Rs. 2,90,000 Second installment is of Rs. 3,20,000 If the candidate is goint for self finance then the installment process is diferrent, candidate have to pay 3 installemnts per year. ( Admission fees and scholarship remains same). Installment 1 - First year - 1,50,000 Installment 2 - First year - 90,000 Installment 3 - First year - 90,000 Installment 1 - Second year - 90,000 Installment 2 - Second year - 95,000 Installemnt 3 - Second year - 95,000 Here you can get other scholarships like Swami Vivekanda Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCM) which is of Rs. 24,000 per year

There are a annual fest the happens in the college, which is two days long. Along with the celebrations of Independence day, Teachers day, Rabindra Jayanti etc. In the library there are more than 1000 books and journals available to read along with daily newspapers and magazines. Every classroom has a dedicated projector. There are two indoor sports tournaments and one outdoor sports tournament that happens every year. There are also some clubs that are running in the college like Uni-sports club, Ui-lit club, Uni-biz club, Uniq-Arts club etc.

As I applied at this college first and I got slected so I did not have to apply to other colleges. Here the admission process is very simple. Students having more than 50% in their 10th, 12th and gradution can apply for the course of MBA. Exams like CAT, MAT, GMAT ar accepted here. Students mostly preffer MAT. The overall admission process is very enjoyable. Afterr filling out the admission form you get a mail from the college about the admission process where you have to appear for a admission test ( WAT) and a personal interview. After the selection you have to pay the admission fees and take the admission.

There are more tha n 20 faculty memeber present in the college. Where the students are like 200 in one batch. I liked almost every faculty member specially Mr. Abir Ghosh, Mr. Ayaz Ahmed Shafi, Mr. Raj Kiran Shyam, Mr. Ankit Agarwal for their excellent teaching skills and interaction skills with the students. There are not such any special reason for disliking any faculty member. There are 4 exams of MBA, as they offer PGPM ( Post Graduate Programme of Management) course along with MBA that is why their are total 8 exams in 2 years of course( 4 semesters of MBA, 4 semesters of PGPM). The exams are not so tough, questions are more on practical basis.

I appeared for a personal interview where the questions were about the current affairs, my academics, my hobbies, my experiences as a freelancer (which I had), about my idol in life, along with my hobbies and extra curicullar activities. I prepared for the interview by reading newspapers to get the knowledge about current affairs.

The college opens aroung 7 am and closes around 8 pm. There are no specific hostel in the college. THe college has a library but no game rooms. We hang out outside the college where there are many shops to try street foods along with the quality resturants. The stores like Wow momo, Pantaloons, BBQ nation is very close to the college.
