Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this curriculum because I like studying the human body, not because I am afraid of all other species knowing human is the most dangerous species. The curriculum provides all the basic knowledge you require for future Medical life

Internships Opportunities

4

Best internship is provided by our college in terms of stipend Compared to other medical colleges where 6-8k is given as stipend Our college provides around 26-28k as stipend for a month. So it's great!!

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is divided into two catagory of students. One with IP quota and non-IP students.it is due to the fact that the college is made for ESIC availing citizens of India. The fee structure for ESI availing candidate is Rs. 24000 + student fund and hostel charges(if taken) The fees for non ESIC availing candidate is Rs 1 lakh+ students fund and hostel charges (if taken) The students fund is around 7k-8k and hostel charges for the whole year is 10k. Scholarships as such is not present but outside institutions may provide scholarships

Campus Life

4

Not so much of fests are organised but all the festivals are organised by the culteral society of the college Usually children go to their home but here at ESIC they stay and celebrate everything together On completion of exams a DJ night is organised for the batch and everyone enjoys in it The recent fest EIKASIA was organised which was an intra college fest in we had a blast in that fest literally the best week of my life We has treasure hunt, coffee painting, pebble painting ,rapid spaghetti and what not!!! It was the best

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel in the campus is great with all the facilities A bed, study table, almirah, mattress are provided by the college and ofcourse a locker with regular cleaning facility. Since I was alloted room out side the campus which was little far away and not in a good condition I rented an apartment with 2 of my friends and it costs around 4.5 k per head and electricity and food charges separated Food is usually taken by mess which is 3.5k per month but I order through tiffin service which is also affordable and tasty. My room is near the college premises and many other PG facilities are present near the college

Admission

This college was at a perfect distance from my home so that I could experience a hostel life as well and my home is just 4.5 hours away so I got the college in 1st round itself and chose it as my final college The college has a look of a private college being a govt college It has all the qualities of modern infrastructure and competes with all the Delhi colleges in terms of academic and hospital modern technologies Admission process includes clearing the national elegibility cun entrance examination (NEET) which is a common exam for all medical fields in India. If you get selected a date is given by the MCC council in which you report to the college and submit all your essential documents like 10th and 12th marksheet allotment form Family ID(for ip) aadhar copym, etc and an admission letter

Faculty

4

Faculty is usually appointed from Delhi Most of them have experience from great hospitals and are usually very humble They teach great but sometimes some teachers are also there who just come and read out the slides or just translate them and tell you read yourself. I guess this happens in every other college But the good part is teacher to students ratio is enough for you to find a good mentor and you can go to them at any time of the college hours and ask anything related to academic or life 1st year was great when we had to study anatomy, the department treated us like their own children and at the same time took lot of tests after every topic which was great , this is something I realised when I had proffs and was thankful to the department that I remembered most of the academic part They help you during practicals Physiology was not so Great for me I don't whether it was the subject or the faculty Biochemistry was a great subject for me I met the best teacher in the biochem department, who was Dr. Alka the best-est teacher I have met so far Her language was so so clear and she would give chocolates if you answer right and was always supportive. The exams are taken frequently in the first year to acclimatize you to the syllabus and pattern, and you get the habit to study every day. 50 marks out of 100 is the passing criteria and approx 65% of the students pass the regular part completion tests and rest get the motivated to study harder. Anatomy took tests after every topic Physiology had less tests and more theory classes Biochemistry balanced the both It is like a saviour subject if your marks are low

Night Life

5

Since it is in the city centre you get to experience the best of faridabad There are two separate gym for boys and girls with 5 trainers And the gym quality is also great with all the imported machines and weights completely free for students and staff Hostel timings are around 12 at night for both men and woman Since the college is in the NIT area so it's relatively very safe for woman to roam around You can roam around in the campus 24/7 Security is great, you would find a security guard at every 100m and they are also very humble once you know them Usually night is alive as the the students study at the library 99% of the time so someone will be always available at the library which is 24 hr functional library

Course Curriculum Overview:

New nmc curriculum is quite clinical based and practical also the practicals in different subjects help us to grab the concept even more. Syllabus is quite vast and difficult to cover. Exam frequency is very high evil give pcts after every topic completion and two internals and two centres and one professional exam is also there.

Well medical colleges are not meant for placements as most students have higher studies plan. Delhi's prestigious hospital groups do come for placements and also offer a bomb cheques to the students but of role that they might not consider.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I've always wanted to become a doctor. Every batch consists of 150 students and for every subject, there are at least 4-5 professors. All faculty members are of course doctors with varying degrees of specialization in their respective fields. Their teaching method is through PowerPoint slides for theory classes and practical's are held in respective labs as it happens everywhere else usually. As for now, due to COVID exams being postponed otherwise before the pandemic, exams were held on time. Exams in a medical college are always slightly more difficult than other courses otherwise if you study properly it's not that tough to pass.

Admission:

The admission is done purely on the basis of your NEET score. A cutoff is declared after the NEET results are out. A merit list is taken out. Upto 3 merit lists are taken out on regular intervals of 2-3 days during the admission and counseling process. I scored 474 in neet and got admitted to this college.

Remarks:

PGIMS Rohtak as everyone know is one of the oldest medical colleges in India. It is also one of the reputed colleges. It was given an A+ grade. It provides quality education to the students who thought it might be lacking a bit in infrastructure and extracurricular activities.
