Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have always loved Mathematics that's why i chose this course. There was finance which teaches us about stock marketing and trading .This curriculum is very relevant in this generation. There are also linear programming . And in SEC, we study about HTML and R software which are very important programming languages .

Internships Opportunities

3

About 4 semesters of my college life was finished in corona time so, i got to enjoy college for a very few months. As a result, i don't get to know much about internship opportunities . But i do know that the college offers a lot of internship opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the first year, total fees was Rs 28000. I paid the full amount and i think each student also paid it. After the session started, a notice for financial help came up and i applied for it . Students whose family income is under 2 lakh per annum can apply for it . So, from the full amount i paid for first year, the college sent Rs 10000 back as concession . For second year, fee is Rs 24000. This time , because i received financial aid from first year, i got instant discount of Rs 11000 and so my fee was only 13000. For third year, fee is Rs 24000 and i paid full amount again. This time, i had to submit documents to renew my financual aid . And after approval , i received around Rs 10000 again as concession

Campus Life

4

I was not so successful in making friends so, my college life was a little bit boring . But there were many festivals like the annual festival and North east festival which were celebrated around November first week. College freshers and department freshers are done separately. So you got to enjoy freshers twice. The library also has a wide range of books and journals and the environment was also very good. There are many clubs like the drama club, NCC, sports, north east, etc. The college also has swimming pool, basketball court, and a huge ground. It focuses on sports and physical well being . For every class, one period a week is dedicated to aports.

Admission

I applied for Lakshmibai college first and even went to that college for about 7 days . But then i got accepted in IPCW in the 7th cut off. I chose this college because it is near civil line metro station and it will be more advantageous for transportation. The management system and the infrastructure of IPCW was an eye catching for me. Classes were also regular and hardly cancelled. It was better in these aspects from other colleges i firstly considered. During my time, admission process was done based on marks obtained in 12th standard. The 7th cut off was 90% and i got a accepted in the 7th cut off.

Faculty

4

The faculty members were all very good and helpful. There were about 12 faculty members and about 50 students in each member. So, it's about 1:4 ratio. I liked all the faculty members. Each one has their own plus points and their shortcomings. So, overall they were all very good . They were very helpful and very approachable. There are 6 semester exams for each semester. In each semester, there are about 2 tests for each subject, the average of which is taken as internal mark. I think most of the time, all students passed the exam . Even in my batch, all students passed. The course curriculum is also very relevant

Night Life

4

The night life of my college was very nice and calm. The cafeteria of our college was very clean and serve very tasty food. Personally, i like macroni of my college cafe the most. It's one of my favourite hang out spot when it's not congested . The college ground is also another hang out spot with my friends. And after college is over, there is an uncle who sells chaat, burger etc. I think that is the favourite hang out spot outside college for most students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

as been from the science background I have deep interest in maths already, and I want to continue my passion for it. The proves the critical thinking the imaginary parts and the applications of mathematics. We see every day it motivates to think about these theorems. The curriculum of course is very good, but due to NEP, we have to study subjects like Hindi in our AEC which is very irrelevant to the curriculum and waste our four hours weekly in mathematics, we mainly deal in proof and theorem. There are very less real word applications that are being taught here. There are various areas for improvement like we can adapt the course or the curriculum.in universities like IITs,Cambridge Oxford and other big universities so that the placement and internship percentage can get improved in our college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested course. It's relevant to the exams in that particular field. The syllabus for life and other exams in this field. I think that there is a lack of actual real life practice in basic courses. If could be made more aligned to what we do in real life it would have been better. The exams are easy enough to pass by just studying one month before exams and submitting the internal assessments properly. There are end semester exams which gives enough time to prepare well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i believe CS hons is a decent course. The curriculum is however, very outdated. We are being taught several topics that have no relevance these days and they arent even taught properly. I believe a far better choice would be doing BTech instead since it has a better course and companies prefer that over BSc CS. In terms of preparing for the real world, i believe this course has no use since the most important parts we have to learn it ourselves. Exams are conducted once at the end of every semester (including practical and theory). However during the semesters, there are multiple tests taken to asses our knowledge regularly
