Course Curriculum Overview
The aspects of the curriculum that influenced me to choose data science is the latest technoligies included in our syllabus like tableau, big data tools like spark, apache tomcat etc which are used by most of the real time companies. The areas that require improvements are lab faculty, practical teaching rather than theoritical teaching etc. The frequency of exams are every 9 weeks a mid exam is conducted and after the 2nd mid exam, a sem exam is conducted immediately.
Internships Opportunities
The companies that provided internship are realpage which provided software engineer role with stipend of 15k per month and there are other companies like salesforce, modak analytics, jp morgan which also provide internship.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year 2nd semester, you're eligible for campus placements. The companies that visited are PWC, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Realpage, Commvault, Oracle etc The highest package offered was 33 LPA by commvault. The average package offered was 4 LPA More than 70% of the people got placed My plans was to get a decent job in MNC and try for government exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year-wise fees I paid was 1,15,000 per annum which was considered as tuition fees. In the first year, I paid additional 4,000 for lab manuals, course files, etc. I was not provided any scholarship as I did not get below 10000 rank in eamcet and I do not have caste reservation.
Campus Life
The name of our annual fest was ciencia and there are frequently tech fest will be organized. Our library has vast collection of books which also include books of our syllabus, gate preparation books etc. Every classroom is provided a projector so that we can perform presentations. Every year, engineering premier league will be organized by our college in which various colleges participate and various sports like cricket, football, volley ball etc take place.
Admission
The other colleges I applied are OU, JNTU, VNR VJIET but according to my performance in EAMCET and my intermediate I got selected in this college. The colleges I mentioned above rejected me as they require very good performance in Eamcet and I couldn't make it. There are two ways to get into our college: 1. through Eamcet 2. Management quota
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:60. We are provided with projectors for every classroom where teachers can teach students with the help of ppts,etc. The faculty I liked was Dr. Sujan Kumar sir who teaches advanced java subject. He is full of knowledge and a ground to earth person. The faculty I didn't like was Dr. sankar sir who used to just read from the ready made ppts. We have two mid exams and one sem exam for R18 regulation every semester. The level of exam is moderate where we can study the important topics and can pass the exam easily.
Night Life
The gym, cafeteria closing time is 8 p.m The hostel people are not allowed to go out after 6 p.m and for outings, they need to get permission from parents. It is not safe to roam around at night as it will be completely silent as college is in outskirts.
