SGGS college sector 26 chandigarh ( MSc physics)

I like the concept of physics of being a practical subject . It's hard to just copy down derivations amd understand . But the college offers a practical learning , seminars and presentations and many other things to make it work . The teachers always there to help . Also. Physics is a very wide subject . There is so much to explore . Our college take us to visit industries and labs frequently to gain knowledge .

For my course there are not much internships or internship tasks to do . They don't make ud focus much on interships and prepare us for other exams like GATE and CSIR NET and other. The interships are majorly for b pharma students and diploma students .

In the beginning of semester you will be asked to join training and placement center . The placements are not that much but yes placements are given . It depends your performance throughout the course . Belonging to MSc physics the placements will be made in the last sem and when and only if you qualify the sem exam you'll be able to join . But according to personal opinion that msc physics won't get that good package and you can get better from government jobs .

In one year you have to pay around 35000 rupees . There are 2 semester so in one semester you'll have to pay 21000 ,which includes admission fees as well as examination fees( therefore you don't have to pay anything while filling examination form at the end of the sem ) .In the second semester you have to pay 15000 rupees .

The campus is big , clean and also good . The students here are quite social so you don't have to worry about making friends . Also there are many clubs , I personally chose innovation club . You can have a good campus life here

When I started my journey I had two options in my mind . This college or post graduate college for girls sector 11 chandigarh . But I first got a call from sggs and took admission here . The girls college called me when half the semester was over . I still prefer my current college over them due to two main reasons .one , the teachers and the staff here are very polite and adress you with affection and will take care of you if you need help ,but as I heard from some former students of girls college sec 11 , the staff isn't that polite and very strict when it come to marks .second is that the labs here are well furnished and have new apparatus and enough for everyone to practice and learn on their own apparatus . The teachers let one student at a time on one apparatus . Which gives a good understanding about the experiment . But the girls college sec 11 don't have a good lab . Also this college is the first college on madhya marg so it's easy to get buses as come from a place 20 km far

Faculty members are very nice and would help you with anything you want . They are very polite and have a positive approach towards us . As I am in masters we only have one MST before our final semester exam . MST is totally based on preparing students psychologicaly for final exams . The final exams are moderate. You can score very nice of you start studying in a month before exams . The teachers give good internals . There a very few students who won't clear the exam , because they aren't that serious towards the course or would not have studied .

As I don't belong to college hostel so I have to leave the college by 5:00 pm so I don't know much about that . But as to ny knowledge the boys hostel and girls hostel are at a good distance so at night they are far which is again safe for girls .
