Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum demands you to be atleast clear with the basics and have basic level of understanding about various business scenarios. As it's a trimester system the students get to study each subject for limited time only and its not possible for the faculty also to spoonfeed everything and teach even the basic stuff so the students who lacks in basic knowledge finds little difficult to cope up with the syllabus although as many students are from science background some subjects like Financial accounting n all are being taught from basics only. Mainly the applications, case studies, conceptual and practical knowledge are being focused more upon. This practical based learning motivated me to choose this course.

Internships Opportunities

2

The college have summer internship program committee which is responsible for calling and getting companies on board. Although the college struggles to get all students find internship opportunities and most of the students at the end have to find the internship on their own

Placement Experience

5

Good Placement actually depends upon the students only. The crowd inside the college should be highly capable and enthusiastic for learning. The problem at XIME is not the placement but the crowd and quality of students. The college have proper placements process. Centralized placements across the three campuses are followed. Although students need to pass certain criteria to sit in the placements such as maintaining a particular GPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The overall fees for the whole two years of PGDM program varies between 12-13 lakhs. But there are other charges also that you have to incur for example due to the fact that XIME has centralized placement process we kochi and chennai campus students have to travel to bangalore campus. The number of travels depends upon how many companies you apply for and ok m how many chances you secure your placement. Other than that they also charges fee for sitting in the placements process which is around 10k. Talking about detailed structure so at the time admission for securing your fees you have to pay 25k which is a part of overall fees only. After that you have various payment models such as trimester, half yearly and yearly. If you opt for trimester model then you have installments for every trimester (3 months period) which is approximately 155000. Apart from that you have hostel fees which you have to pay twice in a year. Total hostel fees is around 128000. It is compulsory for everyone to opt for hostel as it's a residential program. Talking about scholarships so college provides variius scholarships such as tution waiver scholarship for low family income individuals only. There are merit based scholarships also. To the students who perform exceptionally well in academics and secure top positions they are being offered upto 2 lakh worth rupees of scholarships.

Campus Life

3

The college provides ample extracurricular activities. Students not only get opportunities inside the college but outside the college as well. There are lot of colleges in kerala that organises management fests at grand level and any college students can take part in them. Xime has various clubs and organises many activities. Few of the most active clubs are Entrepreneurship club, finance club, HR club etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college have separate buildings for boys and girls. As it's a residential program every student is required to stay in the hostel. The rooms are well maintained and spacious. Students gets a choice wheather they want to opt for AC rooms or not. The charges for AC rooms varies. The hostel has proper wifi system and all basic amenities. The mees food is good and have proper canteen to have food there.

Admission

Getting into a top b school is a dream for many but due to tremendously increasing competition only few are able to achieve it. Despite of working so hard for the CAT and other entrance exams i struggled a lot to get into a good b school. XIME was also in my list as XIME has successfully established itself as a good brand and known for good placements. Based on my CMAT score i got waitlisted here and i was so afraid because there were not many options left for me. But finally just four days before the inauguration i got the offer letter and now it's been half a year since i am in XIME kochi. The opportunities here are endless. Apart from competitive peers, Harvard case studies, and industry exposure, you'll get to participate in lot of outside events, competitions and management fests. XIME through its curriculum and great faculty support bring a great learning and transformative environment. XIME has three branches, the main one is in Bangalore, and others are in Kochi and Chennai. The same curriculum is followed across the three campuses. The college offers various specializations such as finance, marketing, HR, Business Analytics and Operations. To know the eligibility criteria just visit their official website. Typically, you require at least 55% marks in Graduation and the exams that are accepted here include CAT, XAT, CMAT, etc.

Faculty

3

The faculties at XIME kochi included the mix of both experienced as well as fresher level teachers or not very much qualified and effective teachers. But all are highly approachable and are very caring and loving. They are always ready to give personal assistant whenever any student needs it. Paper pattern includes open book pattern for few subjects and includes real life project based learning system. The college has access to harvard business csse studies and simulations which only few colleges offers. Overall the learning opportunities are enormous. The exams are mostly practical and application based only. The finance faculty are exceptionally good. Students gets lot of opportunities to take part in various management fest outside of the college also.

Interview Experience

4

After clearing the entrance exam the candidates have to undergo group discussion as well as interview process. The topic for GD are generally easy and basic only. The interview mostly includes general questions and few academic related questions.

Night Life

4

The college provides good sports facilities and all students except girls can play anytime in the night time as well. For girls the rules are little strict, they are not allowed to move out of their hostel after 9 pm. The college have dedicated library with all digital facilities. The college has gym and a small shop for basic essentials.

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

My sister is an alumnus of this institute, she completed her MBA from here and suggested me to do the same as she had a wonderful experience here and was also able to develop a great relationship with her faculty members. My mother also wanted the same, so considering that they both are very wise, I decided to act on their suggestion. I applied here by paying INR 300 for the online application form.
