Likes

Greenish campus covering all the 600sqm that provides scenic beauty and also most of the trees are attached with QR code to help the agriculture/horti students.
The infrastructure from different buildings that are world class and advanced.
The availability of sports facilities for everyone.

Dislikes

Hectic schedule 9-5pm class with only one hour break.
The load in the lift due to insufficient of lift.
The food are veg which is difficult for non-veg lovers

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is completely related to our field.We study theoretically which help us to have a conceptual ideas in the application of eeal world and further studies. Exam timing consists of 3hrs which carries 70 marks which is a lil bit less for some subjectts which consists of full subjective exam.

Class Size: 28Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

From 4th sem students are eligible for placement. Several companies visited LPU annually. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Google,Cognizant, HP and the no of offers are huge compared to other universities. Highest package is 62lpa from Scool of Computer Science and Engineering mainly from MBA and CSE student,and the average package is around 20lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees for Professional course is 120000(without scholarship) and 40k-80k for General Studies annually. Scholarship are available by giving LPUNEST exams which can deduct your fees till 50%.There is also some reservations for students belonging to different categories. Scholarship like merit(state topper) and sports quota are also available with 100% offers.

Campus Life

One India One World is the biggest event held during April/May every month to represent our culture with the diversity of the University. Library is very huge and every department have their own floor/cabin as per their subjecta. Smart projector is available in every classroom,also cctv and ac are fit in every classroom. Student run groups and clubs inorder to benefit their own studies.

Admission

I have given a try and application for many universities in india but LPU is my first option over all due its renowned record all over india and infrastructure. I didn't get any rejection from other college but the amount of care and guide we received from our LPU mentor is non-comparable to any university. LPU spoon-feed you during admission time so you have to work less during the process. Admission process is not tough due to the all time availability of LPU mentor.Eligibility depends on your subject but minimum is 55% in your previous exams

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is quite good.They are very friendly and approachable.We can approach them during break and after class. There are 2 exams-Mid term and End-Term exam all from our current course.The exam is not tough as we have CA before our exams which consists of the same syllabus.

Night Life

The gym and cafeteria opens 24hrs while library opens till 7pm.The public area is limited to girls till 8pm. Girls cannot leave the campus after 8pm while its 10pm for boys.Check in time is 6pm and 10:45 with extension. The campus is secured with number of security guards.Famous place include Dominos,Oven Express and Kitchen Ette.

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

Dislikes

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii
Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

LPU's REVIEW WITH HONESTY AND CREDIBILITY
