My opinion of Jabalpur Engineering College

Overall the college is very good academically. Students get all the facilities required for good education. It is one of the best college in Madhya Pradesh and also the oldest college. So I would recommend this college to the students who are going to opt engineering.

The college offer wide variety of courses like Engineering, Masters in Science, Masters in Engineering, MCA. Exams are conducted twice in a year and monthly assessment is done through mid semester examination.

The placement scenario is good and offer wide range of opportunities for the students who are preparing for the placements. Many reputed companies like Infosys, IBM, Reliance come to recruit the freshers.

Many events are conducted by the college under the TEQUIP. Cultural fests, Technical fests , Sport fest, educational seminars and lectures are conducted by the college authority. It provides many opportunities for the students.

The fee structure is very feasible as compared to other government and private colleges. The fee of college is around 13k per semester and 27k per year. It is almost 2.5k per month which is very small amount.

The college provide many scholarship. All the state government schemes are applied by the college. Scholarship provided by college are Green Card scholarship, scholarship for SC/ST students, scholarship for BPL students.

Many clubs are formed for extra curricular activities like drama club, dance club, art club, literature club etc. Labs are available for all the subject. Sports equipment are also available for the students who are interested in games.

The seniors are very supportive and helpful. You can get all the books from your senior and even the notes are also available. However the alumni network is not so good. After passing out from the college the contact from college authority is broken.

I got admission through JEE-MAINS. It is an exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Examination. The selection is done the basis of JEE Mains rank, a merit list is prepared after which the counseling process takes place.

The faculties are highly experienced in their respective fields. They have in depth knowledge of their subjects and the method of teaching is very good. They clear all the doubts and help students understand basic concepts clearly.
