If you have the quality, You are formidable.

The locality is good, but the environment created by faculty and chair persons are really poor. And you will get B.Tech degree from their at the end of 4years, that's sure but your knowledge depend upon you. And you personally have to work hard, no one is there to help.

It's a 4year course of consisting 8semesters. 2 semesters each year. And the subjects are being set typically to cover all the subjects every year, with theory and practical. Like if 1st semester has the practical then the next will be on 3rd or 4th of that subject.

Placement and job opportunities are very poor. Actually at the time I joined means 2011-12 they gave great placement. After that it started going down. And at the time of our placement, they ate the money and come up with fake placements. And the worst happened when they showed the fake companies in their prospectus. Still now the situation is poor. But they gave stipend to poor students according to govt allocation.

College fest has been our always favourite event. But day by day the fund we were given gone down, so don't know current scenario. Other festivals also were being celebrated. Like Biswakarma Puja, Saraswati Puja, Welcoming Day and all.

Kind of on the side of expensive. As I was a regular student without any stipend, I had to pay all the charges, even late fee were there. They even didn't return our refundable amount. So seniors told us true and we should've believed that. But I have seen some students coming with economically backward quota, read there with minimal fees.

I haven't availed any. there were few, but not that good. As after passing graduation, they try to collect money pressurizing the students. Also rate of interest was a bit on higher side. Some of my friend's availed, and they faced miserable conditions. As they didn't get placed in companies(placement was poor). And they had the only option to join any kind of job and return the money.

There were not good labs at all. So 70% tests were being passed without doing any practical. By the way thanks our teachers help we got some knowledge about them. Rusty machine's reading were faulty and teachers try to avoid practicals.

Yeah I stayed in hostel for first year. And I love the experience of staying in hostel. Infrastructure we're good, facilities were good too. But we wanted to save some money, that's why left hotel and stayed in local messes. I heard that staying outside means leaving hostel is not allowed now. Cause hostels were not filling up now.

Seniors were pretty helpful. I mean in first and second year we became familiar with some lazy seniors but after third year we came across some good seniors and tried to follow them taking their advices.

Passed JEE, scored 19k approx rank. Then according to trend & demand at that time joined Engineering. Went to Kolkata for campusing. There my name shown on board and told me stream & colleges available that time. I choose this one, as I was hearing it is good.

Some were good, some aren't capable at all, and having poor knowledge if they try to convince themselves as the best ones, it's not good for students. But most of them are pretty helpful to students. By the way most of the faculty had been changed now.
