Glimpse of FAMT, Ratnagiri

The college has a well-organized structure which maintains its reputation. Management is quite good and friendly. College have recently registered for NAAC acredentials. Hence, things are getting well furnished.

As far as my knowledge is the concern, the curriculum is good, it could be better if it would be more practical oriented rather than theory oriented. Because as an IT student I have to aware of all the latest trending technologies in IT. The curriculum consists of technologies which have been upgraded many years before.Exam structure is the same as set by Mumbai University. In this CBCGS pattern, each subject is allocated with some credits. According to this, all grades are calculated. Generally each theory subject has 20 marks for internal assessment and 80 marks for end semester. Along with that teamwork of 25 marks. Practicals have 25 marks for practical and 25 marks oral.

No, college does not provide the internship. College provides details of companies of internship provider. The student has to contact themselves with those companies.Placement record of college has increased in the recent year. For the IT department, from the academic year 2016-17 the placement record has been increased. Our TPO is trying hard to bring multiple companies to campus. In the current academic year, our department has placed 50% student till today. Min package is 2.4L and max is 4.2L. 3 student in our department has been placed in TCS.

College celebrates many social events every month. The college has its own annual event UTOPIA where multiple contests have been organized. It is a three-day festival where college organizes multiple cultural programs, hackathons, brainwaves, etc. These three days are enjoyed by student very passionately.

The fee structure is feasible as compared other colleges of Maharashtra. For the academic year 2018-19, it is 72000. Every year it increases by 10%. College provides multiple schemes for the various cast. College manages all the schemes so the student can take benefit of it.

College provides multiple schemes which are offered by state and central government. I also avail Merit-Cum-Based minority scholarship of Rs.25000 per annum. College offer fee concession for various cast student.

College enriches students to take part in extra curricular activities to enhance better social relationship. Labs are well develop with latest specifications. Students eagerly participate in sports. College arrange many social gathering for increasing social awareness among students.

Hostel facility is good. Each room Allotted to 4 students. College hostel is at a different location. It provides bus facility for the student to come over college. Mess quality is also good. they provide vegetarian food. They also provide festival dishes. Total hostel and mess fee is 48000 per annum.

The college has its own own alumni network where aluminides are their experience during college time. It helps us to know more about college. It helps us to know what changes college have done from that time.

I opted this college because it is nearby my locality and has a great IT department. I have an interest in IT that's why I choose IT. The admission process is totally transparent. All admissions are done through the state entrance exam. The annual fee is quite low as compared to other private colleges of Maharashtra.

All faculties are having good nature. They are more student friendly. They do not believe in religion, caste, race, etc. They are ready to help student every time. They motivate student on various events of the time. They encourage the student to take participation in multiple programs conducted in and outside the campus.
