What Students Say
Likes
- The thing i linked most is our college library it has a wi-fi enabled and i am hoping that the books will soon be updated as per the demand and in the wi-fi sucks as it has a slow speed which can be improved.
- I also like playing in the ground of our college they are not big but enough for students . The problem i faced is most of the ground are not well maintain and lacked facilities.
- Few classes are having projectors but they are not properly configured and i hope the projectors are installed in other classes too.
Dislikes
- The thing i disliked is few professors didn't completed their respective syllabus on time as they might have tried their best but couldn't.
- I disliked the 75 percent attendance policy .
- The way of teaching is a bit orthodox it might have been better .
Course Curriculum Overview
I find the course curriculum slightly old for a few subjects influenced me to take courses such as DSA, OS, DBMS, IOT, and Networking as I wanted to pursue these in the future. The course does not prepare you well for real-world applications. They should teach us the real-world applications of our courses which might help us in the long run. There are about two end-semester exams in a year and about three midterms anyone with half a syllabus prepared can clear the exam easily.
Internships Opportunities
There are a few internship opportunities provided by the college after 4 and 6 semesters, the companies do generally come to the textile department and provide them internships some are placed with a stipend and some are not in other departments it depends on the current situation of the market in my department the internship is generally provided by Bhilwara based company which recruits the students after taking the various test.
Placement Experience
There is about 100 percent in the textile chemistry and textile technology branch of our college as it goes through branches if someone wants to pursue a career in the textile field. In other branches, placement varies as there is less opportunity for the students as companies do not visit our campus at regular intervals. Students studying in their final year and third year are eligible for campus placement for being specific to my branch the companies that visited our college are ChangeCX, Tekizma, InnovaTech, and ReadyBytes. The average placement is around 3 LPA or the highest 18 LPA (off campus).
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees are divided into two halves the first is about 40000 and the second is about 36000. The tuition fee is about 25000, college caution money is about 2500, and hostel caution money is about 6250, and registration is about 100, development fee is about 5500. The other categories in which the fee is divided are the gas category and TFWS category in both these fees are about 15000-16000. The scholarships provided by the college are MLVTI, which is provided by college alumni, and AICTE, which is provided by the central government.
Campus Life
The overall experience is nice if we are talking about a small city like Bhilwara. There are a few fests organized in our college namely Gaiety, Freshers and Farewell. Gaiety is around mid-February or March. The range of books available in the college is not up to mark as the library contains mostly course-related material and a few books of different genres. There are two annual spot tournaments organized in the college namely Sangarsh and Aarambh and college participants in different inter-college tournaments.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is not up to the mark as it lacks a few things. The cost of renting the hostel is about 6000 per semester which is quite ok considering the city there are a few shortcomings of living in the hostel which include bad toilets, old fans, and tube lights and sometimes we only have to buy tube lights and hostel campus also lacks wifi and the mess is also not that good but the food provided is of nice quality. But I would always prefer to be in a hostel because I made some awesome friends.
Admission
I did not choose this college I kept on the counseling list and eventually, I landed in this college. The college campus is small compared to other colleges I applied to and also lacks few facilities . I could not make it to other colleges as I fell short of a few percentile. The admission process can be categorized in two ways one is through REAP counseling and the other is by direct admission if the seat remains vacant.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is about 30:1 in my department. The faculty is readily approachable and helpful. The professor I like the most is Neha Sharma, ma'am because she cares about students and their doubts about their studies and lives. I disliked a few professors because of their strictness and their attendance policy. There are three midterms in one semester and out of three can one be an assignment and almost 80 percent of students pass the exams.
Night Life
There is no concept of nightlife on the college campus as the college closes by 4.30 and there is nothing to do in college except play sports. There is an open gym on the hostel campus but is not equipped with the equipment required for physical activities. The library is a most famous place in our college as everyone hangs out there. Bhilwara is a safe place for roaming whether it is day or night. A few places near the college to visit are Mansarvor Lake, Reliance Mall, and a box cricket place.
