Karnatak University Best place to do Masters

University management was too rude and lazy. We had terrible experience in dealing with them.

There was no entrance exam for the masters programme. It was mere merit based selection. One gets the seat based on scores of bachelors degree. I was an other university candidate and there were only two seats for other university students.

Course curriculum was excellent. The professors were very encouraging and never stopped us to re-do or re-work on any experiments. In fact they were all preparing us for the better life in future. I personally had a great experience to be a part of this institution.

No internship programs were invited nor any companies came and offered any kind of stipend or internship programs. Yet I joined a renowned journal in India Current Science as a Science writing intern immediately after my master degree.

No placements or job expose were held in the university. You are prepared to get your own job and taught to earn well. You have to find your own job and stand on your feet.

Other than a welcome party and send off party nothing much was celebrated. Ha we even celebrated traditional day and sports day. Along with these events some national conferences were organized.

Fees was very feasible as it is state university you need not worry about the fees as all. As I was an other university candidate the fees for me was around 1 lakh rupees for entire masters program, which is very affordable.

No loan facility was taken by me hence I do not have any clue about such scholarship or loans offered by the university.

The campus was nearly 430 acres and very huge. Amazing ambiance for the students. You are very much encouraged to do extracurricular activities including speech, singing and debate competitions.

To be very honest the hostel were very bad and the mess food was terrible. We literally hated our hostel and other facilities provided for the masters students. For someone who is doing master degree they should provide better accommodation.

There is no such network so far. Hoping to build such network among the alumni and seniors of the university department. No big step is taken by any of the students in this regard.

We had semester scheme where we had to write exam twice every year. We were ranked according to the CGPA system. We used to have lab exams and theory exams. Lab exams included viva.

The faculty was very supportive and did a great job in teaching. Also they were good in the practical knowledge. They helped us to be better human being and researcher.
