There are many internship opportunities. A student can opt for the internship given on campus or can apply for any company they need or also apply for the internships of NIT's, IIT's, etc. The projects are real life based and its don't extensively.

The placements are good. This year(2021-2025) there are many companies which gave placement and the highest was 20+ LPA. A student is available for campus drive from 7th sem I have plans for startup and Govt job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure at my time was 1,21,000 for 1st and 2nd year then 1,19,000 for rest 2 years But now our college got the label of University so the price of the fees is being raised. There is the scholarships for the students based on their merits and caste.

Admission

The choice of selection of this college was random and on the advise of my father's friends and not choosen on seeing the quality of the college. I didn't gets rejected from other college On the basis of OJEE/JEE exams and also on the direct NISTEE exam It's easy to get admission here.

Faculty

3

It's nearly about 1:40, the ratio of teacher and student Can't disclose the name but there are some best teacher who classes are worthy to be attended Sone teachers are there who just use projector to teach and no other extra knowledge There are total 2 exams(mid semester and end semester) and there are 2 quizzes and surprise They are easy to moderate.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Most of people go for PHDs and research after this course so the number of placements is a little less. Also, this unique Integrated Mtech course is new and the first batch of this 5 year course soon will be passed out. They are getting placement offers of 8-8.5 LPA per annum.

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
