Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course structure is always dynamic and adapted from the industry . We have Board of studies with alumni, industry experts who regularly recommend changes in the curriculum based on industry trends. We had exams twice in a year . multiple internal tests, quizzes, assignments, etc

Internships Opportunities

5

Students get internships with IITs, top notch industries inside and outside India as well. There are so many research projects going on with collaboration with govt of India with support from scholar teachers.

Placement Experience

5

Placement record is always good from beginning. All IT tech majors queue during placement sessions. Now a days Big4 also recruiting from the campus. If someone missed, they have strong comptence and capability to crack any interviews any where - that kind of preparedness is there

Fees and Financial Aid

I studied during year 2006-2010. So at that point of time fees was 60K INR per year approximately. Apart from that there were extra fees for transporation, books, techno festival, club membership fees etc There were scholarships for students as well

Campus Life

5

My experience was stringly positive. Recently I had been invited to the college as a Chief Speaker in annual Alumni meet. It has very good library and e-library. I was part of renewable energy club. They have 20+ clubs to choose from - robotics, multimedia, vlsi, many more. Sankalp - The tech fest not to be missed

Admission

I am from local Brahmapur city , Odisha . Though I was getting other colleges in BBSR but I opted for it known reputation. Placement is always on record . Quality of education is always top priority for this college

Faculty

5

Wonderful faculties with strong research background and industry experience. Faculties were pretty much approachable, like our friends In my time it was under BPUT , so we had 3 internal exams per semester and 2 semester exams per year- total 8 semesters in 4 year B.Tech program. It was bit challenging compared to other universities. Now it is own university - but with same rigor

Night Life

5

They have gym, swimming pool . Cafeteria is very good. It has buses to main city so that students can travel at scheduled time and comeback to campus. Campus has all facilities, students have to leverage their time

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
