Course Curriculum Overview

5

During the span of 4 years, our subjects are divided accordingly. Our first year was foundation course, in which the curriculum includes a little of all fields of design example, Design studio- in the start we were asked to make models that understand basic elements of design at the end of the first year it was more focused towards the course we wanted to choose in the next year Design research- this course was about self exploration and towards the end about design exploration and real life situations problem solving and research. Imaging - in this subject we were taught all softwares like Adobe Photoshop, abode illustrator, Adobe InDesign, premiere pro etc. Drawing - from fashion to interior to product to packaging to communication everything was covered all the courses. Space and material- all about exploring different materials and working with them and how those materials can corporate with other objects or materials Sustainability- importance of sustainability, how we can replace objects with sustainable ones, how to make things sustainable and find alternatives. We alsoget to select different minor and skilluo subjects for 1 and 2 semesters. They had a variety options from stocks to languages to fashion to photography to clay work to printing work to dance to songs to dramas, about the market forcast etc In the second year we were asked to select specialization based of the glimpse of what we had learnt about all the courses of design. I selected interior design as my major and spatial graphics as my minor. We have subjects that focus on AutoCAD, SketchUp,floor plans, models, design visualisation, history of interior and architecture. After every break time we have been given the opportunity to take up internships so that we get industry experience.

Internships Opportunities

4

Many companies visited our college for intership opportunities. Most with the duration between 1-4 months. Students had to register for the company they wanted to apply and then were sent for the interview, based on the interview and portfolio results. Around 100+ students were hired

Placement Experience

3

Students are eligible for placement from the very first year, college provides multiple opportunities for placement, throughout every semester companies visit and hire students.during my fy for us there were around 100 placements made. Some were paid some were just observerships. i currently have no specific plans

Fees and Financial Aid

My total tution fees for 4 years and 8 semesters is 24,00,000. Each year, 2 semesters we have to pay 6,00,000. That makes 1 semester fees 3,00,00. During admission amount of rs. 75,000 was to be paid. My batchmate had recieved a scholarship which deducted 6,00,00 from her total tution fees. As far as I know there are these following scholarships- if a parent is a teacher, if income of house in under 20,00,00 year, if parent is a military servant. To secure a scholarship we have to go through many interview round, Submit many documents. Every year a scheduled scholarship interview, after the year ends, they decided whether you deserve the scholarship or not depending on your academic grades.

Campus Life

5

College has multiple activities going out throughout the year, site visits, field trips, international trips, educational trips, etc College has student run fests like inferno, and clubs what include sports and education etc etc college has a football turf where compitition keep taking place, it also has a table tennis area. A hidehout for work and stuff. Campus is amazing, clean, and never noisy, safe and surrounded with plants and birds

Admission

My first preference was NID, I also applied to pearl, Avantika MIT, ISDI Atlas skilltech university. Other than NID I cleared the interviews and enterance exams of the other colleges mentioned above. Since ISDI Atlas is the closest and had very friendly and helpful staff and faculty, even the campus was great and the college was well maintained. I could see myself studying in this college. To make it to isdi Atlas there is an enterance exams online + a portfolio submission/ challange exam+ portfolio review interview. If you clear just the interview you can make it to this college.

Faculty

5

Most of the faculties are very helpful and friendly. Super approachable, and soft spoken. Faculty to student Ratio would be around 1:20. Faculty keeps in touch and ensures completion of work, progress of work, understanding of projects, issues facwd and mostly resolved. Most work completion is expected in class. Faculty comes well prepared and explains in detail always ready to answer questions. My top favourite faculties were- ishi ma'am, Sangeet sir, Rahul sir, hai sir, amruta ma'am, dimple ma'am, mon pal sir. These professors are the sweetest and will help you no matter what, they will always.ake sure to give their best ideas and inputs and how the project can be better, or help with what is missing. They remember students and are super friendly and even though they don't teach us the subject anymore, ask how the work is going and if any help is needed. For the faculties I don't like - abhilasha ma'am because she used to give inputs but was very rude and teaches like an express train, i can't remember the name but one professor was rude and never explained a thing, always bragged about herself. Most faculties were good at their work 1-2% were good at what they design but not good at teaching. In the duration of 1 semester we have mid term and end term exam. In a year total 4 term exams. Students that do not clear the first exam are given the opportunity to make up and appear for the re exam. The course curriculum is relatively very very very relevant. It explores all sorts of designs and outcomes. Focusing on the main course we also get to select a minor course.

Interview Experience

5

The first step was the entrance exam, like any other design exam it had general aptitude questions and drawing questions. Then step was the portfolio submission or the design challange where they give you a topic and you have to work on it and submit it before the due date. Then comes the interview, where they review the portfolio or the challange exam and ask questions.they interviewees were very helpful and guided me if I was confused about anything

Night Life

4

The campus looks beautiful in the evenings, Lights are lit up, subtle music is played throughout the working hours. College campus has. A gym for college hostel students, cafeterias in each campus, Library area closes after 7. Public area are open all the time.the hideout and cafeteria and the turf are some cool spots in the campus.xampus timing are 6-9.life outside campus is a little scary we just need to be careful outside. Inside it is totally safe no chance of anything happening there are guards all around the campus.
