Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course and curriculum are very good and they also fast.I took this course because it is only profession which saves the life of any living creature in world. It is also a life long learning course and we have update our knowledge every day as the technology changes. Finally I want to become a cardiologist.

Internships Opportunities

5

Our college students will get internship at their 5th phase of MBBS and it was about 15000 to 20000 for every month. Also very interesting reasearch options also present in MBBS for going into the reasearch platforms to become as a scientist in future. Some projects like USMLE also present for the students who want to do pg and settle in abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees - 25000 and lab fees is included in the tution fees Hostel fees- 60000 per annum Scholarships available are FFE, Adani Gyan Jyoti scholarship, ONGC , fees reimbursement etc. Per annum we will get 40000 in all these scholarship But in fee reimbursement our tuition fees will be paid by the government.

Campus Life

5

Overall our college is very good and I was feeling proud to be a student of guntur medical College. This college has many facilities like sports, cultural events and anti ragging committies. Classrooms have very good infrastructure with AC and evaryroom has cc cameras. Our Library has many books which are more useful to all students and many great doctors will also come to our library for reading books and updating knowledge.

Hostel Facilities

5

This hostel is absolutely superb, the staff are friendly, helpful, full of local knowledge and go the extra mile. The facilities are cleaned daily, rooms are spacious, free wifi facility, gym facility and sports also present like volleyball, badminton and hand ball, facility of parking scooties and cars. Walking space is more in our hostel and college. Hostel food is very good and they will make what we want like Maggie , egg fry , coffee, tea and egg etc at any time. The college and hostel are at very walkable distance. The railway station is also very near to the college and it facilities more easy for the travelling of hostellers.

Admission

I took this college over other colleges as this college is very old , built in 1946 year and it is very prestigious college. The batches who studied here , now they are in great positions and they are present in whole world not only India. By writing neet exam and securing good marks and percentage according to our cut off marks we will get a eligibility to join in MBBS course. Then after counseling we will be allotted a college in 1st round after that if we want to change we can change the college through 2nd phase or round counselling. From this year onwards our state government introducted the eligibility of the 3rd also. Then we have submit the particular documents, which are mentioned in allotment order to the college which we got. Guntur medical College staff received us very well and they told each and everything about the college during our admission like about hostel fees , classrooms location etc.

Faculty

4

In our college faculty to students ratio is 1:1 as our faculty is very good and clear our doubts at every time and they even taught us when there is a leisure to them. Specially anatomy faculty teach us in dissection hall more clearly at each part the body. Physiology and biochemistry faculty also teaches well. I like all the faculty members as they teaches us well. And for every week each department will conduct tests as part completion test after finishing of some units in the books. Students firstly will feel difficult about those exams and after they will be habituated to that exams. MBBS course is very interesting and somewhat different and difficult also.As this a noble profession and doctors are life long learners.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum is CBME based. I chose this course cause of my sister., she is also studying in our college. There is a bit of spoon feeding here. But the person who studies on their interest only gets good marks. The timings for the exams are not so bad but are difficult to complete the given syllabus in time.

Firstly i wanted to become a doctor. I was firstly afraid of joining in this college as it is new one and the college admission is mainly based on merit so not much of option i got. I got a all india rank of around 17000 and state rank of 1049 . Now i got md general medicine in kurnool medical college. So it gives you great knowledge for the seeking. Yearly one final with practicals and 3 internals which are easy one if you study moderate ly also .

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the only course that could make me a surgeon that I always wanted to become, hence I chose this course I choose this college due to its high patient load . I could also go to AIIMS Deogarh, Jammu, Guwahati, Madhurai or Jipmer Karaikal but I choose AMC over them is due to Patient load only. Here I can get good clinical exposure compared to those There are programs like Family Adoption programme, Early Clinical Exposure form the first year itself , and from second year only students go to ward postings. There is always real world application in this course This course particularly dont want any improvements in my opinion, NMC regulates and improves the curriculum in real time and that is implemented in this college perfectly. For every like 3 months we have internal exams to assess ourselves . And final exams in the last.
