What Students Say

Likes

There are many teachers whose working structures are too good. Our science labs are truly good.
There are a hostel for girls. There are also a big canteen for gossip between students.
After all our honourable principle in charge is really a good person from his heart. I never met a headmaster or a principle like him. We the students like her very much.

Dislikes

There are no hostel for boys so they have to stay in mess with a high payment.
Lack of lab experimental products. Bad network system.
Badly maintained workshops. No purified water system in the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

From youger age I like to play with electrical components like wires, solder iron, batteries, led lights, etc. As I have an interest on elctrics so I take a decision to take a higher study on it. In our college the practical work structure is not too good so I want good workshops .

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 2200 per year

Internships Opportunities

Our college offers interships and placements in many reputed companies like tata. After 5 th semester students are allowed for inturnships and after 6th semester when they get their final diploma certificate teachers of placement cells give them the opportunity of placements in govt. certified companies

Placement Experience

After 3 years of diploma or after 6th semester the students become elligible for campus placements. Students can get placements on various companies like tata consultancy, tata motors, etc. At the time of joining students can get from 15000 to 18000, after improving their skills on that job they can easily earn upto 30000 - 40000

Fees and Financial Aid

I have to pay yearwise 2200 rs Registration fees 200 rs Admission fees 200 rs, Session charge 15 rs, Caution money deposit 40 rs, Others 35 rs Same fees for my batchmates but they have to pay their mess fees also Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship 18000 rs Oasis Scholarship(Postmatric Scholarship for St, Sc, Obc) 3000-5000 rs

Campus Life

In our college the student's union arranges the welcome ceremony, freshers, bosonto utsav, teachers day celebration, blood donation camps, football tournaments and bijaya sommeloni also. There are some clubs for science, sports, cultural programme, tree plantation, etc.

Admission

I had applied for Jexpo exam but the council decided not to take any exam and on the basis of Madhyamik exam's total number I got a chance on diploma in elctrical engineering in Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Polytechnic College. So I took the opportunity to study in this College.

Faculty

I like the good teaching structure of the teachers. They always give us encourages for getting a good marks in the exam. They also take mock tests to prepare us for final exam. I don't like the Student's Union in the college. Because college is like a temple to me where I go for taking knowledge. This is not a party office after all.

Night Life

There are a big playground in front of our College campus, well maintained library, a small canteen. At the evening some students, local boys uses to practice football in the college playground and at night some local or mess students plays badminton also

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

Placement Experience:

We college have many companies like tata motors, cumming company, dana limites, spices limited, Ashok Leyland. Mahindra. L and t company and much more high package is 3.5 lakh per annum aur department students got 90 per cent placed. I have been placed in tata motors which gives me 3.2 lacs per annum. My plan is to do b tech at Jadavpur University.

Overall a good college with best placement

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement in the final year of the diploma course. Most companies like Wipro TCS visit our college. The average package is 5 lahks and 90 percent of students got placed in every branch.

Best start for a professional life

Placement Experience:

From fifth semester semester students became eligible for campus drive recruitment. And college also started campus drive. As i earlier mentioned that campus drive are not that much satisfying at all during 2012-2014. I was passed out at 2014 & in my time there's only one company came for civil engineering branch except that all are IT companies. For electronics & telecommunication and Computer science student there's lots of scope at that period. Some of them got package of 3.6 lakh per annum which may be the highest package as far as i know during my days. In an average we get 2 lakh per annum package. I just set one campus drive recruitment of Printika pvt. Ltd. which recruited almost 15 civil engineer from our branch. They offered 2 lakh per annum package to all. As a percentage of placed student from my branch is almost 20%. Overall from 2014 batch it'll be 30-50%. Unfortunately i didn't placed from that placement drive as I'm planning for higher study.

From 5th semester students are eligible for campusing. Badve autotech pvt ltd. A1 fence products pvt. Ltd. Crescent foundry and so many companies are visited our campus and offerd almost every students for job.the highest package is 1.80 lpa and lowest is 1.44 lpa. There re almost 60 percent students are placed and rests are getting prepare for next campusing.My plan is doing job after completing this degree.

You need to qualify and get a good rank in the jexpo exam which is the entrance examination for diploma course. As it is a government college so you need to get a rank below 2000 to get admission in this college.
