Reality Of DCRUST

I chose to decide this course as it is a profit course with some creative thinking going on. The curriculum of the college does not prepare at all for the real world applications or further academic pursuits. The curriculum doesn't include what is latest in technology. For example we have few elective subject which we are not allowed to choose as the college does not have the faculty for those subjects and neither do they try to get the faculty for these subjects and say that you cannot choose this subject. The areas of improvement in course curriculum are a lot. The students teach better than teachers via their presentations. The teacher just sits idol in classes and give students a topic to give presentation and teach other kids. The exams are conducted semester wise which are not at all difficult. One just needs to go through previous year papers and he will pass with good marks. The internal marks are given by teachers on the basis of how much a teacher likes a student. the work you do does not matter at all for them.

Each yearly fees is 45000, for odd semester it is 34750 and for even sem it is 9750. It includes all the charges. There is scholarship for top 5 students of every class . There are extra fees for sports areas , gym and others which is nominal of 100 rs. Per month

The annual festival that occur are rythm, goonj but are not up to the mark. It feels as if you have entered a village style wedding by the theme of tents . The variety of books available in library is really ample as this is is the only area where university has spent some money. The sports ground are not maintained and have high grass growing on them such that one cannot even walk in the ground. People have seen snakes and couples making out in fields. Only internal badminton court and gym are maintained. The college also has pool room and table tennis room which I have not seen opened in last 4 years. The swimming pool construction also started but has been put on hold due to bribery reasons. Theere are various student run groups of acting, dance , theatre , and also a school run by students for underprivileged children named as savera

The boys hostel are well planned but girls hostel feel as jail with small window and no balcony in 2 girls hostel. The hostel washroom are not cleaned. There are vomit of drunks and washroom seats have urine on them which is never cleaned. The food we get is not at all hygnical prepared. It is too unhygienic, you can find flies in the food and it tastes like shit. I have rented a flat near college near eldeco. Most College students are shifting here

I chose this college as this is a only government college and only for architecture in my state . This was a mistake realised later. I could have gone to private university but they are quite expensive to afford. I did not get rejected from other colleges but it used to be a good college before lockdown as per the seniors and I took advice of wrong people who are quite old and do not have experience in career counseling. The admission procedure began after the nata and jee architecture exam. The college takes admission on basis of marks in nata and jee architecture mains. The students who get low marks still get admitted via the physical counseling as from 2021 batch less students are taking admission and no. Of. Seats vacant are more .

The faculty to student ratio is too low as college stoped employing more teachers since more than 10 years. The faculty can't be approached as they are like govt. Bank workers just trying to give some excuses for any help. I haven't found any permanent faculty that I would like. They all just try to get away from students. There are few teachers who don't know much about their subjects and few toppers are way ahead in terms of knowledge from them. You have to expect self study of you take admission maybe that's why only the Library is a good part in this college . The exams are very easy to clear. One can study a night before and get passed. Since teacher don't have any knowledge they give questions from pas year papers only. They do not try to put in efforts for better future of the students.

There are not late night hangout spots. Girls hostel door closes at 6 pm and they can't go out of the hostel after that time . The college has one canteen open till late night but the food is unedible. For boys their hostel are open 24 hours.
