My College Review

The specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course were learning about how to build hardware and develop the software of a device. The curriculum prepares us well for real world applications. Some courses are obsolete and have no relevance with the present technology.

The internship opportunities are there in the college but for startup companies. The good companies come rarely with the internship offers. The projects to get an internship shoild be relevant to the branch you have taken.

The year wise fees of GEC Gandhinagar is around 1480 rupees per semester, inclusive of all fees. Scholarship opportunities are given by the Government of Gujarat. The fees structure is same and it is not likely to increase.

The fests are occassionally organized according to the funds and timing according to the GTU examinations and mid sem exams. Library has books but they are bit old. The facilities inside the classrooms are mediocre, meaning they are adequate enough to use.

I did apply for other colleges but due to my rank, i chose this college as it was a government plus it comes under GTU. I didnt make it to other colleges due to my present financial condition and rank. The admission process for my college was GUJCET examination.

The faculty to student ratio is 1:40. The faculty is approachable any time. The best faculties are in CE and EC department. Sometimes due to lack of attendance, some faculty can harass students for submission for days. The exams are medium, not too hard but not too easy. The course curriculum relevance is sometimes obsolete.

The night life is quiet there. In night, you won't see even a ghost lingering in the campus. Only the canteen is active, rest it is all quiet all day. Hostel has timings but you can visit boys hostel anytime except exam time. The locality around the college is safe at night.
