Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is hectic in first year but slowly the subjects decrease by number in second year. In first year students are supposed to choose 7 subjects which seems tough at the beginning bt slowly subjects decrease by number...Exam pattern is 6 month semester based which is enough time for preparation of exams because subjects are 7 but topics are few in numbers which one can easily prepare over the period of 6 months... The subjects are completely chosen by students of their choices which makes teaching learning process amazing...

Internships Opportunities

2

There is not any kind of particular internship opportunities but one project was given to students by government of India to survey in villages and to know about their lifestyle, their system of living and so on. The students were supposed to survey and submit reports and after considering the reports they will be given Rs 5000 for their work. Overall there are very less internship opportunities available in college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee structure for 1st year is 7888 Rs and then it decrease by 2nd year with 6574 Rs...A student is also supposed to submit At least Rs 2200 at the end of the every semester for semester exam. The semester ends after 6 months ...There is not any scholarship scheme or financial aid in particular for any student. The fee structure is almost same for every student.

Campus Life

5

The overall experience in our college is just amazing. There are various opportunities for students through NSS, NCC, Red cross society ,eco club, ELC etc which inculcate in students the qualities of leadership and responsible citizen. Moreover, the library provides a wide range of books and journals which really help a lot during exams and overall during the course. There are also various facilities available in classrooms as well like the lights,,fans and in some rooms smart boards as well. The college also provide various functions regarding the sports like football,,cricket,,volleyball matches etc and encourage everyone to take part. More over the variety of social groups like NSS etc have a great impact on lives of students by giving them opportunities to speak ,,to work and more

Admission

I actually choose various colleges but my first preference was this college and due to my good grades i got admission in this college. I was not rejected by other colleges but i choose this one as first preference because it is one of the leading college in kashmir. The admission process was simple as we were supposed to give cuet exam and then after the results the colleges reached us which we have filled in forms of cuet ,then the persons with good scores were contacted first by college and given the admission with good choices of subjects

Faculty

5

The faculty is just amazing and very helpful towards students. They really help a lot during the overall class work. They try their level best to provide best teaching methods to their students. No matter curriculum is to some how hectic with so many subjects but the faculty members always try to make it relevant and helpful for students. The teacher i personally like the most was from public administration department who always cares for his students and try to reach every student personally to provide any kind of assistance.Overall every faculty member is very amazing and well mannered there. The teachers are in good ratio with students ,so class work always go smoothly without any problem...Exam pattern followed in our college is semester based.Every semester is of 6 months and at the end of the 6 months exams are conducted. The level of question papers are moderate to difficult but overall majority of the students pass the examination with average grades.

Night Life

4

There is no gym in college but library, cafeteria cum canteen ,,and playground etc areas are there for fun and gossips.. There is hostel in our college for boys only and not for girls (that will take some time to get complete) The hostel of boys provides necessary stuff like food, accommodation etc according to some boys. College timing usually differ from summer to winter,,as in summer college starts from 10 am to usually 3 pm but in Winters college work starts from 10.30 to 3.30 or 4 pm...It depends on the working classes. Also there are so many hangout spots which i already mention like canteen, playground and big fountains to breathtaking parks .. More over i have no personal experience of night life but giving my ratings on behalf of others whom i have talked about it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen the course myself but this year due to NEP we had 7 subjects which is kinda difficult for us to study .only 2 subject are main that are major and minor rest changes as per semester, so last year my multidisciplinary subject was Geography in 1st sem and then Geology in 2nd semester. There must be some changes in course. 1. Shortage must not be 75% it becomes difficult for students . 2. Teaching method must have to be improved.. Colleges have a semester of 6 months, they give information in 1 to 2 months and after some time in the semester, papers start..they should give some more time for preparation. The difficultly level of exams are not much... kinda easy paper . In minor exams the time limit is one hour and in major 2.5 hour . Sometimes time is problem too ... As I'm humanities student and we hv to write in length but sometimes due to time shortage weren't able to write much contents but overall my experience in college was good

I chose this course because the university was in my home town. The difficulty of exams was not at that level as highly ranked national University and the curriculum needs a bit improvement so that more things which can help in further studies and competitive exams can be studied. The exams were conducted not at s regular interval because our course was lagging behind die to COVID-19

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum in terms of relevance was so good as it added my options of further academic pursuits.every subject in the course was relevant to eachother. The course was good so in my opinion they don't need to do any further improvement but yes teaching methods was slightly old i suggest them to try AI methods in teaching and go more digital which I think will help the students.for exam timings they know the students have to give six semesters so students needs the proper time to prepare.
