Course Curriculum Overview

2

I being a student of political science was expecting that we would be having at least one or two debates once in a month but as i have been in the college for over a one year there has been hardly one or two activities which were realted to our course. Also our faculty is not permanent we have to wait a lot in the starting of our semester to attend our classes

Fees and Financial Aid

On getting admitted to our college we have to pay 8000 and it varies from course to course. Then our exam fee is around 2300 per semester. Yearly fee is around 8000 . It doesn't increases but is constant

Campus Life

3

The only club i am a part of is NSS. I attend the events that are conducted. But most of the times they are not that appealing. The clubs cluture is negligible. We have only a white board in our class and no technology is used. We are not a part of any sport and there os no culture of supports

Admission

I applied for amar singh college as it is one pf the top colleges of our state. I wanted to apply for delhi university but our board exams were quite late as we were the first batch to experience cuet exam. The cut off was not quite high and i got the college in first try. I also had a pretty good score in cuet enterance.

Faculty

2

The exam pattern of our college is quite similar to all the other colleges of our country. We have an internal examination before ohr externals. The marking scheme is not quite impressive and results are deleyed a lot. Also, once the results are declared we have some subjects which are pending and we have to visit the university a lot of times in order for them to upload our result. They there are not hospitable.

Night Life

2

There is no girl hostel in our college and we live in rented rooms outside the college campus. There is no gym in the college the cafeteria is good. Library is good but not up to the mark . The college area is good to be around . The place is quite aesthetic.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen the course myself but this year due to NEP we had 7 subjects which is kinda difficult for us to study .only 2 subject are main that are major and minor rest changes as per semester, so last year my multidisciplinary subject was Geography in 1st sem and then Geology in 2nd semester. There must be some changes in course. 1. Shortage must not be 75% it becomes difficult for students . 2. Teaching method must have to be improved.. Colleges have a semester of 6 months, they give information in 1 to 2 months and after some time in the semester, papers start..they should give some more time for preparation. The difficultly level of exams are not much... kinda easy paper . In minor exams the time limit is one hour and in major 2.5 hour . Sometimes time is problem too ... As I'm humanities student and we hv to write in length but sometimes due to time shortage weren't able to write much contents but overall my experience in college was good

I chose this course because the university was in my home town. The difficulty of exams was not at that level as highly ranked national University and the curriculum needs a bit improvement so that more things which can help in further studies and competitive exams can be studied. The exams were conducted not at s regular interval because our course was lagging behind die to COVID-19

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum in terms of relevance was so good as it added my options of further academic pursuits.every subject in the course was relevant to eachother. The course was good so in my opinion they don't need to do any further improvement but yes teaching methods was slightly old i suggest them to try AI methods in teaching and go more digital which I think will help the students.for exam timings they know the students have to give six semesters so students needs the proper time to prepare.
