Straight forward review

Curriculum of my course History in masters is designed in such a way that student after completing the course will be able to observe and analyse the socio economic, socio political events of past and present era in a critical way. Exam are conducted every month pre exam and then final exam are held after five months.

From third semester, students are allowed to sit in process of campus placement. There are many national and international companies are invited. For instance last year there are 50 companies. Highest package was given to a student last year from MBA department which was 15 lac per annum. I'm going to pursue research (PhD) after completion of masters degree.

If we compare the expanses to complete a course in Aligarh Muslim University, it is very cheap to other universities of country. For four semester of masters course, they charge 15000 rupees per semester as tution fee, 5000 for hostel per year and 2000 for other facilities. There is no difference between the admission fee of general students and category students. But those students who are self financed they are charged a bit more , they are charged 30000 per semester and other fees is same. There is merit cum scholarship provided to 5 students of department that is 5000 per semester.

There are many events organised in campus time to time such as cultural nights, literature functions, Art shows, mushaira etc. Sir Syed day celebrated on the birth anniversary of founder of AMU sir Syed Ahmed Khan on 17 oct every year is famous all over the country. Maulana Azad library of AMU is largest campus library of India with a large range of books and journals available to students. Inter University sports competition and inter hostel competition of various games such as cricket, badminton, kabaddi held every year especially during winter. Student run many clubs such as drama club, ngos, poetry club etc

In hostel room a student is provided with comfortable bed, proper light and fans, study table and chair and an almirah for keep their stuff. Food quality is not upto marj although it is cheaper as compared to other universities. Hostel are alloted on basis of distance, students from other states are given more chances of hostel accomodation. There are plenty of pg and rooms are available for rent outside of campus but they are not worth it.

I have applied for Master in Sustainable development at Azim premji University as a plan B. Got the admission with 100 percent scholarship. Admission process of AMU is very easy, first there is entrance exam and those who clear entrance are invited for a interview round. All the post process of admission is online.

In our department, there are total 50 to 60 faculty members everyone is specialised in their respective field. Very honest with student and cooperative. I like Prof. Irfan Habib one of best known historian of India. There is no such faculty that I don't like everyone one is good. Exam are very though, they are designed to check the sub consciousness of student and alertness of student.

There is a central gym in university open for all students and seperate gym for girls is available with there respective hostels. Girls are not allowed to leave hostel or campus primesisnafter 9 pm, however boys are allowed upto 11pm. There are many cafes, canteens inside the campus and outside campus famous chai dhabas of Aligarh are there.
