Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in programming and hence chose IT so, far we have been taught only c programming language but from next sem we will be taught python and soon DSA so I think we have to wait and see Focus much more on teaching on black board instead of just reading the pdf without explaining and reduce the class hours. Mid sem 1 and mid sem 2 : 50-minute paper and of 20 marks End sems : 3 hours paper and of 50 marks. None of these exams have appeared to be difficult
Internships Opportunities
No information is available as it is still in the first sem. However, I have heard that people are doing internships at Microsoft, Amazon etc. A lot of students also try to land off-campus internships. However, being in the first sem, I cant say anything for sure
Placement Experience
The campus placements of the college had been decent so far. Except in 2023 due to recession. from 4th year students become eligible severals companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Accenture, Adobe etc the data is not with me yet but the highest package was around 62 lpa in 2023 the placement percentage was around around 70% in 2023 due to recession otherwise it is mostly >90%

Campus Life
1) the annual fest is confluence and is usually held in October. Their are techspardhas too in Feburary and utkarsh fest in September. 2) The library is small but books are available of all kind there. 3) there is a black board and a smart board for teaching. The classrooms have ac and the benches are comfortable. 4) Their are all kinds of sports played here like kabaddi, badminton, football, cricket, basketball, etc. the college also takes part in several competitions. 5) Several clubs are there for students. For acting, singing, playing, fashion, aeromodelling, etc
Hostel Facilities
1) There is a lan port. Wifi is not available in boys hostel. The rooms are pretty crammed. 2) mess menu is decent except the afternoon food. 3) It is done at the time of admission and is affordable 4) NA
Admission
In Jossa I filled Nit Hamirpur and nit Delhi apart from nit kurukshetra. I got admission from Kurukshetra as it was my top priority. It had better stats than others and people recommended it. Admission is done through jee mains. I had 99 percentile and obc ncl and got IT branch in nit Kurukshetra in first round itself
Faculty
1) Most of the teachers are approachable except some rude ones. 2) Gajendra Tiwari sir of maths. He teaches awesome. For all the other subjects we need to rely on yt videos for understanding but in his case, there is not need to. 3) I can't name them but he is a physics professor and pretty infamous here for being excessively rude to not only students but teachers also. 4) Mid sem 1 took place mid September. Mid sem 2 took place in last week of october. And end sem have started from 28 nov. In mid of November, there were practicals. Mid sem are mid in terms of difficulty. End sems so far have been easy too. Practical can be done easily if you have performed them in labs otherwise yt videos help a lot. The list of students who failed is not our yet According to me, in first sem it is not relevant. As IT students, instead of a heavy focus on Programming, we are being taught Engineering practice(foundry, carpentry, etc) and EVS which I think are useless for us.
Night Life
1)There is a gym in sports complex. Girls have a seperate gym in their area. But most students prefer going out for gym. There are several cafes in sec 17 which is close to nit. 2) For btech first year the hostel in timings are 8.30 pm. 3)Famous hangout place outside the campus is Brahma sarovar and sector 17 as there are several cafes and brand outlets. The locality is safe to roam around at night
