Common Entrance Test for Punjab Technical University. Its common test for MCA and MBA students. This detail is of 2008.

I Did Master of Computer Applications. There were were no elective subjects. Curricula consists of 6 semesters spanning over 3 years. It starts with basic programming languages like in first semester and fundamental of IT and computer maths then each semester will have one programming language and other subjects.

I was selected for an internship by a reputed MNC and i continued to work for the same organization later. Stipend was given as 10256 INR per month. Later i got converted as permanent employee in the same organization and still working there only.

There was a placement cell which use to take us to joint campus placements. To name a few companies like LnT Infortech (2 students on a package 2.23, )Honeywell (3 students on a package 3.67), HCL (around 10 students on 2+ LPA ).

There used to be annual youth festivals for 2-3 days with all kind of activated like games, cultural. Apart from that there used to be regular quiz competitions, programming contests etc. Students were encouraged to participate in inter college competitions.

First semester 38k (10 k admission fee)and next semester onward 28 K INR. We can say it was a feasible amount that time.Total course expenses were around 2 lac Indian rupees.

I am not aware of any scholarship options. Though there were support from college administration for bright and poor students.

There were extra curricular activities but same time it was a hectic life also. Students were encouraged to attend seminars and competitive inter college events.
