Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Bangalore

The college provides the degree of hotel management and catering technology which would help me to become a professional chef. The college provides us with industrial experience. The exams are conducted every at the end of every semester. However the exam timings are very irregular.

I am a student of ARMY INSTITUTE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT AND CATERING TECHNOLOGY, BANGALORE currently pursuing my hotel management degree. I am currently in my third year and going to pass out in the year 2026. This college currently teach hotel management to students. There are various departments like kitchen, F&B, housekeeping, Front office and Sales and marketing. This college provides hundred percent placements and also provides foreign internships in countries like UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, NEW ZEALAND, SPAIN, FRANCE, MAURITIUS and ITALY. This college provides placements in companies like THE OBEROI GROUP, TAJ GROUP, MARRIOTT, HILTON, HYATT HOTELS, ITC GROUP OF HOTELS, LEELA GROUP OF HOTELS, and retail companies like ADIDAS, NIKE, PUMA, RARE RABBIT, PETER ENGLAND, DECATHLON, STARBUCKS, THIRD WAVE COFFEE, ARVIND MILLS, CAFE COFFEE DAY, etc. This college has various facilities which includes two operational kitchens, one speciality kitchen, one bakery, two restaurants with dispense bar, front office lab, housekeeping lab, two computer labs, library and an anchor hall.

The festivals which are celebrated here are NEW YEAR, DIWALI, HOLI, JANMAASHTAMI, GANESH CHATURTHI, CHRISTMAS, EID and other gazetted holidays. Books and journals are available in the library with a wide range of different topics. Computer labs are provided in college with updated softwares which helps the students to study and research. Sports facilities are available in the college. Sports like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball and Badminton are available inside the campus. Extra curricular activities like dancing, singing, etc are available during cultural events and competitions.

I applied to other colleges as well like Institute of hotel management, Pusa and Delhi University along with this college. I was selected in all the colleges. However, I chose this college because it has Army benifits and provided placement in premium properties. Admission process for this college is not so complicated. A student should have passed secondary studies as well as higher studies in any stream. The student should be a defence ward. Aadhar card is necessary for admission. One should also have class 10 and 12 marksheet. There is an central exam and selection process for admission in college which one needs to pass and get good marks good cuttoffs to get selected.

The college have total eight semesters. The faculties of this college are good regarding teaching and learning but some faculties are partial to language and cultural differences. The college examination are neither to hard not to easy and requires invested study to pass.

Gym and cafeteria is available inside the campus with library. Campus closing time is 8 pm. No student is allowed outside the campus after that. Hostels timings are between 4 am till 10 pm. Hotels are closed other than these timings Famous hangout places around the college are Bhartiya mall where there are many bars and restaurants, Bhartiya City, etc.
