ORIENTAL COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY? Should i go?

The curriculum for this college is given by RGPV which gives a fixed amount of lectures to be taken in class and labs for practicals. All the attendance is maintained via an app VMEDULIFE. Students can check there attendance for every lecture in that. Sessional marks are provided based on attendance and the assignments and lab files submitted. Each semester two mid semester exams are conducted before the final end semester exams.

The recession amongst the industries and companies have really made a huge drop in placement amongst the college. But people who do get placed get an average package of 6/7 laks per annum. Most people apt for M Tech or MBA after the degree if theyre unable to secure a job.

I got enrolled in Otiental college of technology in the year 2022 in computer science engineering with specialization in Data science and per year my tuition fees is 95000. There are scholarship available for SC, ST and OBC categories which provide a great deal of help ti students. One of my friend pays 45000 fees, as she belongs to the SC community. There are bus facility available for that you have to pay 17000 every year. Only if you live within the 5 km radius of college, you can opt yourself out of bus fees, other wise you have to pay for bus facility whether you use it or not.

There are fest like Techfizz, Techacme. Fresher parties also named Mondaze and sysstumm, every year. Apart from that dj night during fest is very common with great singers. Garba night during navratri at very affordable passes is a great and entertaining part of college. Also NSS and NCC is something students show great interest in.

This college was chosen by me because it comes under the top 3 private colleges in bhopal for engineering. I also thought of going to LNCT but the fee structure of that college was way more than this college. You can get admission in this college in ghis BTECH degree if you completed you 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and have appeared for JEE examination.

Faculty members are good. They have a great deal of knowledge and qre always willing to help students whether in projects or any doubt related topics. The only thing is that you will find a shift of faculty members among departments every year, which breaks the flow of communication among students and daculty. Also you will find a lot of new members every year.

There are two girls hostel and a single boys hostel having enough rooms mostly four floors. The infrastructure in girls and boys hostel is similar. There are shops available inside college campus and also around the college campus. Hostels have a gym as well. If you dont want a hostel there are PGs available all around the campus. Dont really know about the boys but girls hostel have a timing to 8:30 pm to come back.
