GEHU follows semester system and in every semester, midterm and final exams are conducted. Apart from this, they also have seminars and reports at the end of every semester. GEHU has the best placement in Dehrdaun for IT sector. Btech CS, BCA, and BSc.IT students are more likely to get good packages at GEHU. However, it also depends on a student but on an average 80% of the students get placed. Apart from the IT sector, GEHU has pretty decent placement for BBA, B.COM and MBA students. Also, hotel management students even get internships from college. Placement for Hotel Management students come with a very good package.

GEHU and Graphic Era Deemed to be University conducts an annual event called "Gra fest" in May every year. It is a much-hyped event of Graphic that has a huge fan following in the entire state. I enrolled in BCA in 2017 and my first-semester fee was approx INR 45000. An addition of INR 10000 is taken for the dress and INR 3000 as your security. If you want to make college dress from outside on your own, the expenses will be less. No extra fee is charged during the semester. Also, you can avail the bus facility by just paying INR 900 per semester, this fee is included in your semester fee already and it is mandatory for every student to pay this, whether he avails bus facility or not.

GEHU has one of the best computer labs in Uttarakhand. The college follows strict rules regarding dress and ID card. The tie is a must to enter from the college gate. The overall atmosphere at GEHU is fine including the crowd of students, faculty, facilities and other relevant things.

The admission process to GEHU is pretty simple. It is solely based on the marks you have scored in 12th for the majority of the courses. For Btech and MBA they do consider the marks scored in JEE and CAT exam. However, that does not affect your admission. If they have seats left, you will get admission easily. Minimum of 60% as your aggregate is expected in 12th.
