Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is set accordingly to the level of students right after their 12th std It is the continuation of 11th nd 12th portion to familiarise the students The areas of improvement include proper teaching of each topics and the rewarding of deserving marks

Internships Opportunities

5

Students can go for separate internships personally based on their likes Starting from first year of college itself The interships offered by college starts at your 4th or 5th year based on how long you take to finish your credits on time The students are permitted to start projects on the topics they are interested in from their first year of college itself The college provides everything you need but it is useful only if you make use of it

Placement Experience

4

The college provides the best placements for students but that depends on their CGPA's The students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th year of college They even offer placements in TATA ,and other Many more prestiged companies Only on basis of good grades and overall extracurricular activities of the students The highest package offered is 1-2 lacs per annum and minimums package is 6-7 lacs per annum I plan on continuing my studies even after degree to acquire PhD Doing PhD is more valuable in a course like biotechnology But it is up to you to choose what you want Whether to go for jobs directly or do something research and get the deserving benefits

Fees and Financial Aid

The average fee for M Sc Integrated Biotechnology is 77000 exclusive of hostel and mess fee The College offers various scholarships in our 4th and 5th yr Students who needs financial support are provided with needed support economically through scholarships Those who score above 9 CGPA are provided with extra benefits They are not necessarily needed to attend the classes daily ,the ones that score the top marks are given cash prizes The other course students have extra payments based on their category of selection

Campus Life

4

The college provides the best campus life with many extracurricular activities and clubs to involve students for various activities other than studies and stuff There are two main events of VIT THE GRAVITAS AND RIEVERA which is a famous event that involves the Students both in terms of education and personal developments There are more than thousands of journals and books that the students can refer to according to their needs The library is open till midnight for the easy access of students for their study purpose The college has the best technical provisions and a lot of research labs Also it involves the students in sports and arts activities to improve them physically and mentally Which is good in a way if you balance everything

Hostel Facilities

5

There are different kinds of room Starting from single bedded rooms to 8 bedded ones The rooms have bunk beds Each student have their own study table and cupboards And each floor of the hostel have common bathrooms with approx 20 stalls There are three different types of mess Special ones and normal ones Special mess includes juices and soups The registration for hostel and mess is completely online and would be assigned to each students based on who pays first

Admission

I chose VIT Because my area of interest was Biotechnology And overall India this college has more educational Value and they provide with proper placements I applied for various other colleges too I was accepted in Hyderabad University and kerala University but compared to those colleges vit seemed like the best option The eligibility criteria for Integrated course were based on our 12th boards percentage If u secure above 70% you are likely to get accepted But try to secure more than that for a safer side The admission process is completely online but you have to check daily for updates and when to submit the required documents For Other course students they have an entrance exams Based on their scores they will be separated into various categories Category 1,2,3 and 4 But as the category increases the tuition fee also increases

Faculty

4

There are two kinds of faculties One which teaches well and reward the deserving marks and is friendly with students Then there are some who never teaches anything and doens't give the marks we deserve For M.Sc Integrated Biotechnology the best chemistry faculty is Dr.Pundlik Rambhau Baghath sir Who teaches the concept in-depth and make the students to interact in class For maths Dr.Manimaran sir He is the best maths sir Even if there are non maths students he teaches from the basics There are totally three exams Cat 1(50) Cat 2(50) FAT(100) CAT 2 is bit difficult comparative to cat 1 But it will be fine with daily based studies

Interview Experience

3

No there was no interview or written test for the admission of my course it was completely based on 12th marks VITEE students have to write tests to qualify this There was online discussion about the course and admission process

Night Life

4

After a hectic day in college there are lots of clubs that host various programmes in the Greenos where hundreds of Students assemble to have a free time The girls are permitted to roam inside the campus till 8:30 and the boys till 9:00 There are many restrictions for boys and girls to be together. You are not supposed to cross the limits of the college rules or else you will be detained for a whole semester and both girls and boys have gyms There are two types of gyms payed ones and free ones Then there are badminton and swimming classes for students There are lot of hills around the college where u can hangout with your friends or partners The serene beauty is so eye catching Try to have a alone time of your own so you will notice every little things that are beautiful

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this college because of its NIRF Ranking, but trust me it's not worth it. The college infrastructure is very old. They don't provide proper classrooms and tutors are not very good. Some are good some aren't. Internal exams are easy and are conducted in the same classroom but sem end is conducted properly.
