Aspects of me to choose this course is that it provudes diversity compared to other courses like computer science and other conventional courses. The college curriculum provides their best to prepare us for real world challenges by providung us internships and field trips . Teaching methods can be improved in some areas in terms of course completion , better teaching approach and some other aspects . Frequency of exams are good like they provide enough time to prepare druing the end sems but there is not a day off between mid sems which give a lot of stress on students in compelting the course with terms of difficulty and lengthiness.

College provides good interniship opportunities. Recently Cairn oil and gas gave interniship to the students with monthly stipend of Rs 40000. Projects which are made in the last year of the course and also personal work is considered . Faculties also help in providing projects journals etc to get a better role in the companies

From 6th semester onwards students get eligible for campus placements . Companies like ONGC and other bug companies came and didnt make any offers due to the parameters they have which didnt get matched by the students . Average package of petroleum department is around 10-12 lacs per annum and highest package was adound 37 lacs in petroleum department . Percentage of students getting placed depends upon thr batch strength. Its roughly around 40 percent . My plans after getting the degree is that to do masters in my field .

Detailed fee structure is that college takes the fees in installments. First install ment is around 190000 and second installment is around 125000. 5000 rs as additional exam fees and alm the other fees are included in the fee structure . If a student has a backlog he needs to pay 300 rd as exam form fees.

Annual events like RIDE , Vasundhra , Aarohan fest etc are help which provides very hood experience to the students . They are held in the months between Jan to august . On the availabilty of the study material in college , it provides a good rabge of books and journals but sometimes it is difficult to find study material for particular subjects or courses . All.the classrooms are fully equipped with smart boards and wifi connections and labs are also equipped with proper computer systems and softwares and other equipments. Sports in our college is very good . Almost all types of sport competitions are held every year for the students and also provide good opportunity to participate for all . There are many student run social groups and clubs which work on different fields like sime are technical , some are for organising events and other activities , some sre music clubs etc which helps many students in getting experience in different fields ans show casing their talents .

I had applied in VIT vellore , Nirma , SRM and other engineering colleges but got a confirmation from MIT and SRM. I chose MIT over SRM as it has diversity in students and does not have a language problem which sometimes other colleges have . I got rejected from Nirma , VIT vellore because my competitive exam marks were not up to the mark and i mistakenly forgot to fill other courses in whixh i can get through with my marks . Admission process is same as other colleges through exams like JEE , MHT CET and college's own exam MEET . The most preferres exam is MHT CET as its not thst difficult and also has criteria and reservation for the students given CET. Cut off is around 90 for computer science fields and low for other courses. The overall admission process is good.

The faculty to student ratio is around 70-30 . Faculties are experienced but dome teachers lack teachibg style they are somtimes unable to complete course on time and rush on last hours . There are three types of exams practicals , mid sems and end sems . Mid sems are moderate level and end terms are on a moderate to sometimes tricky . About the course curriculum some times it suits the schedule sometimes it gets delayed .

Favourite hangout spot is our college front gate which has all the types of cafes and food joints . Its a good place to hangout with friends , and alone also. There also gym and other hangout spots near aour cllg which are also open till late night where we can chill and unwind after the classes and without any sedind thought . Hostel and campus are open till 10 pm in the night . Campus is a good spot to have a walk in the evening , chilling with friends . Famous hangout spot near aour cllg is food joint names lassi wassi which has one of the best shawarmas and also engineers cafe where most of the students prefer to chill . Locality around the college is also very safe to roam at night . At any time we can find people.roaming there whixh feels safe .
