Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is quite good, in most of the courses we have labs and practical projects to wok on. Though some the courses are quite outdated and needs to be updated, but most of the courses are really great and matches indutry level requirement. Many professor also offer some really great courses as electives which caters the need of our changing technological world. We have 1 mid semester exam and 1 major exam in each course apart from that the professor of a specific course also conducts some quizzes and research paper presentations which really help us.

Internships Opportunities

4

A lot of companies visit the campus with internship opportunities. This year Google took 6 students with 1.5lakh stipend, DeShaw also took 2 students for 1.5 lakh stipend, Nvidia also took 6 students for 1.5lakh stipend, apart from these there were many companies which offered 1lakh stipend and combined took around 20-25 students. Many companies(Indian + remote) also offered stipend between 50k to 1lakh. Roles for which these internships were offered was mainly SDE and Data Analyst. There were very few intern opportunities in core branches like mechanical and civil.

Placement Experience

5

Placements for all branches are really good, almost every branch has 90%+ placement. Students are eligible for placements from 7th sem onwards. Many big companies like google, amazon, microsoft, graviton, quadeye, delloite etc. visit our campus for placement and internships. As far as i know highest package that was offered was from a japanese company and it was of 80lpa ctc for software developer role.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees per year is 200000 rupess, apart from that we have to pay mess fees of 38,000(which might increase from this year as new vendor will come from next year), also we have to pay 55,000 rupees/yr as semester fees. SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying tuition fees, so they only have to pay mess and semester fees.

Campus Life

4

The overall experience of campus life is really great, the campus is quite huge and it feels really nice to walk around in the campus at night. The college has various clubs like RAID for AI enthusiasts, Devlup Lab for people who want to explore software development, Sangam for music enthusiasts, FrameX for photography enthusiasts, The Groove Theory for dance enthusiasts and many more. We also have many fests in our college, Ignus is the biggest cultural fest of our college and we invite really big celebrities in it. Apart from that we also have Varchas which is the inter college sports fest, also we have Spandan which is our inter hostels culture and sports fest. We also have a technical fest named Prometeo. Overall the club activity and fests are really great but sometime there are lot of budget issues for clubs and fests.

Hostel Facilities

5

Each student is provided a single room from first year itself. All the rooms have a separate air conditioner. Apart from that we are provided with a bed, a study table and a chair. All the hostels have vending machines from which we can have snacks any time. We dont have a separate washroom for each room, but the shared washrooms and bathrooms are cleaned on daily basis. Apart from that college provides room keeping services so you can ask them to clean the room. Hostels does not have and attached mess, we have 2 central mess. Mess food quality is not that good also lunch food doesnt taste good, however morning breakfast is awesome. In breakfast we have milk, tea, cornflakes, chana, bread, jam, bournvita everyday and apart from that there is separate dish for each day, we have dishes like methi parantha+aaloo sabji, idli medu vada, dosa, poha, chole kulche etc for breakfast. The lunch also have a wide variety of dishes but the lunch taste is not really good. Evening snacks and dinner is also good.

Admission

Our college accepts students via Jee Advance exam, apart from that our college has also started direct admissions for Mtech for NIT students who have good cgpa. One reason for choosing this college was that it is not much far from my hometown also i have relatives here, apart from that while researching for colleges i saw that AI department of IIT Jodhpur is doing really well, so i thought that it will help me (I have taken most of my electives in AI). Taking about other colleges, i was not able to get top iits as my rank was not that good.

Faculty

3

We have 1 mid-semester exam and 1 major exam in a semester. Apart from that quizzes and assignments are dependent on professors, like in some courses professor does not even take quizzes are grades only on basis of assignment and exams. In general, the exams are moderately difficult, but it depends entirely on the professor like in some courses I have seen maximum marks scored are about 30 out of 100, but in some courses students are able to score 90+ out of 100. In general I will say that most of the faculties are average and are not interested in teaching, since 1st year out of 20-25 professor from whom i have studied only 7-8 faculties had really interesting lectures and students attended their lectures in large numbers, but that is not the case for most of other faculties as they are quite average in their teaching skills and even students avoid attending their class. Some of the professors I really liked are Suraj Srivastva sir who taught us communication systems, he is one the best prof. from whom i have ever studied, he taught really different concepts in a very easy manner also you can get into his office and ask doubts from him anytime. Apart from that i liked Deepak Mishra sir, who taught us Computer Architecture, he is also a really great professor who teaches concepts really well and also is also available for doubts anytime. Some of the professors i didnt like are Suchetna Mam, Lawqueen Mam and Nilkamal sir, the main reason for not liking them is that they were quite lazy in their teaching method and were not able to explain concepts well, although they were lenient in their grading policy.

Night Life

5

We don't have a central gym in the college, however every hostel has a seperate gym with all necessary equipments. We have 1 canteen which is operational from 9 in the morning to 2 at night, apart from canteen we have have a food court named shamiyana where we have many food stalls which are operational from 10 in the morning to 3 at night. Also we have 2 small seperate stalls which sells chai, samosa, kachori and other indian snacks. The students are not allowed to go outside the campus after 10p.m, however there is not restriction on hostel timings. Students can roam freely in the campus at any time. Also we have a small temple in the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

. The timing of each exams will be 2 and half hours . you have to appear to the exam hall before 2 hrs and you have to submit all your belonging to the invigilator like phone etc., . Improvement area of the course is the notes they provide, the exam questions they ask some time is out of what they teach they expect us to know more than they teach. . I over all fell good about the B.TECH in pursued and I would also do my MBA from BITS . I choose this course because it will not affect my work and i complete my BTECH with work and all people and organizations will recognize the course we done with BITS
