What Students Say

Likes

Collage has great infrastructure and faculties
College has decent placement and internship opportunities
Faculties are very friendly and well educated

Dislikes

Old and outdated Curriculum and syllabus
9 am to 5 pm college schedule and many periods
Strikness in attendance criteria of 75% , some which leads to detaining students

Course Curriculum Overview

Course and curriculum is fine but I think the curriculum of aktu should be updated and more practical and technology based teaching should be given to students , many students get back due to exam pattern and wast syllabus.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 440000 per year

Internships Opportunities

How much I know internships opportunities are available in college but as I am a 1st year student so I am not aware about the companies name , we get to from our senior about internships, and it's quite ok .

Placement Experience

Placement of galgotias college of engineering and technology is decent it's highest placement went 1.5cr and average placement goes to 7-8 Lpa. College helps students to grab better placement and internships

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure of galgotias college of engineering and technology is decent it's around 1.10 Lakh per year and quit affordable than other colleges and there is no extra charges asked by the college and you can avail for up scholarship the scholarship amount is around 50 to 60 thousand for general and OBC candidates and 1.10 Lack for Sc /St candidates

Campus Life

Campus Life going very well , college conduct lots of events and activities for students, fest of galgotias college is famous in whole greater Noida, Aktu also conducted sports competition few weeks ago.

Admission

I took admission in galgotias college of engineering and technology through uptac counselling, as my jee mains score was not too good so I opted for this college, galgotias college of engineering and technology is considered as better option as compared to other private colleges.

Faculty

Faculties are very friendly and well educated and most of them are IITians and NITians and support students in their academics . Exam is conducted by Aktu and I think the exam pattern and curriculum should be updated and more practical knowledge should be dilevered.

Night Life

The area of knowledge park where college is situated is very good and safe , ther are lots of hangout points near knowledge park , you can also find gym and libraries near by , metro connection is very good and students mostly visit Delhi in their weekends.

Other Applied Colleges

JSS Academy of Technical Education - [JSSATE] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

My score was not good and I was not able to clear the cutoff

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

What I See at SRM Ghaziabad

Likes

I really appreciated the college clubs and hackathons.
There are variety of events throughout the semester, something to always keep you on your feet.
Some of the faculties are really really experienced and have a unique approach that captures the attention of all the students.

Dislikes

Not many hotspots around campus to hang out after classes.
The infrastructure of the hostel can be improved a lot.
Food in mess is not great, the menu is not very diverse. Everything has aloo.

Placement Experience:

Placements are actually impressive with our college having the highest placement rate among others in the region. We usually achieve ~90% placement. We get opportunities from many large groups, such as Infosys, TCS, JPMC, BNY, Logitech, etc etc The list goes on. The highest package that I saw was of around 1Cr from a company I don't remember their name, but it was based out of SF and was a really great one. Average placement we see is around 12-20LPA packages.

Due to small academic hall places may look too crowded.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is really one of the the factors convincing everyone to take admission in SRM ,average package from the college is of around 10,00,000 which is really a very good amount in todays stresfull market.

I have applied for Bihar State Nalanda college, chandi. It gave me aerospace engineering. I didn't choose that because their course curriculum with their faculties and college culture is not fit for getting placement. I wanted some placement oppurtunities through my college and GCET is suitable for it because of their location and college culture. My admission process of my college is through direct admission as well as UPTAC counselling. Direct admission is for those who have low JEE ranks and outside of UP and are early comers. Counselling is for merit based admission for UP students generally with better JEE ranks than direct admission students....Read More

I have also applied for JIIT Noida, but couldn't able to get CSE branch. However, In greater noida, comparing to other private colleges, GCET is much better option because of its location, fee structure, campus size. Admission process happened through AKTU counselling, also 15% seats researved for direct admission as well.
