Remarks

I chose NMIMS Bangalore over KJ Somaiya from where i got an offer as well because NMIMS is a brand name, the batch size compared to KJ Somaiya is one third and the average placement is higher as well. One other reason would be the high cost of living in Mumbai. I applied to KJ Somaiya and TAPMI as well. Rejected KJ Somaiya and didn’t get shortlisted for TAPMI. I got rejected from TAPM, their shortlisting criteria completely changed and I couldn’t do anything to change it. The admission process for NMIMS Bangalore is basically by clearing the NMAT exam, I scored around 230 and the cut off for it was i think around 224. NMIMS only take NMAT for consideration. The overall admission process is smooth only. Once you get the offer letter you just have to upload your documents and they will upload them in sometime

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

1. My batch size is of 230 students with around 58 students sitting in each class. Now talking about the specialisation strength, marketing is around 90, finance is around 100 and the rest are HR, Operations and Analytics. 2. Girls to boys ratio is fine only, there is no one of more its balanced only. 3.Our batch and class is very diverse, the students are from every state and i got to know that the whole batch of 230 students are from 25 of the states and majorly the students are from north only. 4. Yes there is kind if peer learning as well as you get to know different perspectives of people from different places and your perspective gets broaden so yes there is peer learning. 5. Yes you have marks for participating in class and they are usually for 10 marks of the overall marks. 6. Yes, the students genuinely attend classes, most of the learnings are from the class only and it gets very difficult during exams if you dont study in class.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

1. Yes my college received 100% placement and all students received paid internships with highest placement being 70,000, the average placement being 34,000 and i dont have information for the lowest internship. 2. The preferred companies are Marsh and ITC and bigbasket for marketing, arcesium and dell for finance. Their monthly stipend ranges from 50,000-70,000 3. There is no particular company that hires in bulk for internship. 4. Many students convert ppo and you cannot sit for the final placement process when you get the ppo.

Placement Experience

2.5

The final placements start around September and all the students get placed I am in the first year so i don’t have much knowledge about the ctc’s offered or the roles provided but i know it’s good only. There are many companies that hire students in bulk but i don’t have the names of that particular company that hire in bulk.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for the 2 years is 21,00,000 for the 2 years, this is just the tuition fee. 10,50,000 for one year and the same for the second year. The hostel fees is 2,80,000 for 10 months and they provide breakfast, lunch in campus, snacks in hostel and dinner also in hostel. Also the hostel is 5 kms from the campus.

Campus Life

1

1.The campus infrastructure is fine honestly. 2. The basketball court and the football ground is being prepared for the last 2-3 months. For indoor sports we have table tennis, foosball, chess, carrom and air hockey. 3. We also have gym Although there is inly smith machine, lat pull down and chest press and some dumbbells and the campus does not have a swimming pool. 4. The library is really good they have a lot of books and give them for subscription also. The auditorium is also really nice and well maintained. 5. We have 3rd part research database bloomberg. 6. Yes we can bring our vehicle inside the campus and the relatives are not allowed inside. The distance from hostel to academic block is 5km and the hostel provide us with bus services. 7. Yes, there is mcd 300 meters from the campus and some small food joints near campus. 8. The college has a good medical centre with qualified doctors and nurses.1. The campus life is good. The MBA students are usually busy with club and committee work or are playing tt after classes. 2. There is one cafe in hostel which is open till 11 at night so we hangout there as well. Plus there are many small shops around hostel so we hangout there as well. 3. The locality around campus is fine but in hostel the area is not so good and not advised to roam late at night around hostel. 4. One of the famous even is rangratri which is basically an event for navratri and diwali and there’s dj and dhol and people dance to it. 5. The famous celeb we have had is Manoj Bajpayee for tedx. 6. I think being a part of placement committee would be useful for CV pointer and of high value. 7. There is one student exchange programme that the college gives but i dont have much knowledge about it

Hostel Facilities

1

1. The hostel are below average, the boys are girls hostels are separate and even the mess is separate and no girl can enter boys hostel and vice versa. 2. There are 2 hostels, one for boys and one for girls each has 14 floors. 3. There are 14 floors and each floor has 3 flats, and in each flat there are 4 rooms and 3 bathrooms, 2 in one flat and on room has double occupancy, there is no option of single or triple occupancy. 4. The hostel allocation is on first come first serve basis only. 5. The hostel fees is 2,80,000 with 10,000 security deposit for 10 months. There is no further breakup provided. Breakfast snacks and dinner are provided in hostel but lunch is provided in college campus on weekdays. Also they don’t provide with snacks and dinner on sunday. 6. The food quality is usually bad but they sometimes provide with decent food and the menu changes every week. 7. The hostels are well guarded, they have 2 guards at each gate and the whole premise is under cctv. 8. The hostel also provide bus services from hostel to college and the busses usually have timings.1. There are no different sharing options. There is only double occupancy. 2. The hostel provided us with mattress, pillow, bed, study table and chair, almirah, geyser, wifi, microwave, fridge and a kettle. 3. The wifi used to be really bad before but now they changed it and its really good. 4. There are no recreation rooms. 5. There are 3 washrooms in every flat and they are common only. The hostel rooms and washrooms are cleaned daily. 6. Except hostel students stay in pgs and flats and im not much aware about the facilities provided there.

Exam Structure

The admission process is first you have to clear the nmat exam which happens from october to december. After that you will get your shortlist in January and the interview process will start from first week of February to the last day of February. The interview process happens in NMIMS Mumbai campus only and in the interview process, there is also a watson glacier test that happens before the interview. The interview and the watson glacier test happens in the same day only. You get your result in the first week of march and would have to pay the fees in the next 2 weeks only, and the classes start at around first week of June.

Faculty

2.5

The course is quite difficult but the interesting part of this course is that this is a meta college concept in which three semesters 1,4,6 is compulsory to pass from the the cluster innovation centre and the rest of three semesters 2,3,5 you can go other colleges such as Hindu, Hansraj etc for there respective course and there was two times exam in the whole year in January and July and the teachers are amazing and super friendly

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities

The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range.
