Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was not influenced by any aspect. I took the course solely because i wanted to pursue my dream of being a lawyer in criminal or corporate law. The curriculum is however stepping stones to the real deal and from what i have seen they play a big role in understanding the parameters of the Law.

Internships Opportunities

4

Students are supposed to pursue internships on their own in every semester. The college doesn't help with that. The internship committee have started putting forward firms for interested students. Not many of them have a stipend options but there are internship opportunities that are to be availed by ourselves. College doesn't help in that.

Placement Experience

3

The first batch of the college passed out last year. So the placement aspects are limited. However the Placement Committee at CAIL is trying their best to make sure that the upcoming batches dont have to face such issues. I think by the time i am in the final year we will have pretty good companies and firms at the placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Bcom LLB course at Christ Academy Institute of Law is availed at a fee of 1 Lakh 10 Thousand Rupees. Its a 5 year course and payment of the above mentioned fee is to be sone for every year, Per yer 1 Lakh 10 Thousand. The fees for Karnataka Residents are lower i suppose, Im not really sure and the college is affiliated under KSLU, so there are scholarship options provided. Yhe college on its own provides perks to students who maintain a 65% and above score in End sem exams.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is not that great, its mire like a school. There are almost 26 clubs, and a few student run clubs. As much as i know the Digital Media Committee is run by students without a faculty incharge and is under the Student Bar Association at CAIL.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels are very nice honestly. The inside hostels are beautifully maintained. In my first year i was staying at the inside hostel. The rooms are premium for the amount we are paying (55000? per year) Single room with 2 sharing and attached bathroom is the option in the inside hostel. However the timings are bit rigid and students have to be back in the hostel by 6.30 pm. There are PG and room accommodation around the locality which are suitably priced.

Admission

I didnt apply to any other college. I applied here and got it. I had previously planned on applying at a college in Italy. But due to health reasons i couldnt continue with that. The admission process consists of filling the form, Then an admission test, an interview with one of the counselors and then a 1on1 with the principal himself. The interview with the principal is done with your parents alongside.

Faculty

3

The faculty are very friendly and approachable at times, however some of them are strict at the same time. But the professionalism is maintained and the teachers try their best to help students in every aspect. As the college is under KSLU, The end sem exams are somewhat tricky and hard. Its kinda hard to predict what will come for the exam. However the faculty tries its best to maintain and finish portions on time. Sometimes they have to rush finishing portions because the terms are short and its basically a headache for faculty as well as students.

Night Life

4

Students in the inside and outside campus hostel have to get in by 6.30. Applies to both Womens and Mens Hostels. The night life is not that great, however in a few years it will get Much better thats for sure. We can see the development slowly. There are gyms and Cafeterias and other food spots and shops available. By 10-10:30 pm all shops close down.

It is better to start internship in 2nd or 3rd year for proper legal understanding before a student graduates from the college. The college will provide practical knowledge but it does not encounter proper real life situatons.
