Course Curriculum Overview

4

First 2 year i didn’t found the curriculum relevant but later got clarity and found relevance. As this is very real world application for us because we have international laws to gain knowledge worldwise. Sometimes i found difficult for time management in exams as we have to answer it in a lengthy way.

Internships Opportunities

4

Civil Court of Karnataka High Court Of Karnataka Rotart Club NGO etc. This all are unpain and just for practice to get better knowledge about court proceedings and cases for future help. I had draft the memo for fictional cases and help the lawyer for other cases.

Placement Experience

1

Yet there is only 5-6 placements yet. But we got internships in NGO's and court to get better knowledge and practice. Students who scored 65 to 70 plus will count prior for the placements opportunity.. My plan after this is to study LLM and go for the corporate lawyer.

Fees and Financial Aid

We have to pay 136000 as a tution fee with other activities and 60000 for hostel fee yearly. Im doing 5year course which will be approx 10lakh plus. Im in 3year now so Im not aware with scholarships facilities much. For merit students who score 70+ in semester exam will get 25% fees back.

Campus Life

4

Experience was harsh but good with academics and fest. But got every book required for curriculum and facilities are 5/10. We organise national sports and extracurriculars activities in campus to give chances to students to improve their confidence and personality.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are good, but the meal quality not worth as fees but its eatable atleast. Registrations is easy just have to pay advance for booking and its quite affordable. There are in and out time for students which is very strict but safe and security is guaranteed.

Admission

As I'm giving interviews in 2-3 colleges and here i got the instant reply for admission so i choose this as this also have better infrastructure and less fees among those. And i also got selected in others colleges but i alrdy paid fees so i continue here only. There is 3 interviews where they asked world related questions and testing the knowledge of students.

Faculty

4

Some faculties are very understanding and friendly with students problems. They conduct class test to divide students as a moderate and slow learner which is very helpful for the semester exam to get clarity about the week subjects.

Placement Experience:

The placements of Christ University Bangalore, are pretty decent. Students are eligible to get placements for the 9th semester, and there are a lot of companies that come for campus placements like Shardul Amrchnad Mangaldas and Cyril Amrchand Mangaldas, Khaitan, Puviyah and co., Trilegal and etc. The highest placement that went last year was 23 lakh, and the average placement is 6-7 lakhs. My plan is to do litigation after getting a degree.

It's the law firms like Wadia Gandhy, Dsk Legal, Trilegal and others. Some merchant bankers too are now a part of our placements thing and this is where it is getting interested as we are getting to explore new opportunities. Pay as of now is around 4-5 LPA but I hope it increases to atleast 10 by 2030.

Placements are okay not so good because of the field as Law doesn't have much placements because it is only given in corporate sector and other things people only have to get employment like for Self employment.

Placement Experience:

The university has a placement cell which is helpful. They help us get internships in which place we want (only if we are eligible). The placements are nice which are reported by the seniors. We got to know that most of the seniors had a starting package of 7L per annum.

Mostly it's the law firms like Indus Law, Globus, PICT and others. The payment scale therefore is less when it is compared with NLSIU or other NLUs. Some private companies like the UB Group and ITC amoung other others are also coming to hire students who have chosen corporate law as their main electives.
