What Students Say?
Likes
- Some teachers are really good and helpful. The admission department is good and has the best faculty.
- The crowd in the college is not very much and there are not many people so there is space for everyone to grow and adjust
Dislikes
- Campus is very small. The distance is less than 50m from college.
- Management of attendance is not very good. Our scheduling of classes is done on an app called digicampus but most times when a class is supposed to be added or cancelled, it is not updated.
Course Curriculum Overview
The management courses are very good here i.e. BBA, BCA, B.com and PGDM. The improvement areas are- 1. The exams should not be every month like we need atleast 2 prior exams. 2. The attendance should be considered overall instead of per subject. 3. Teaching is best here. I don't have any complaints in that but some students here don't have mathematics or commerce background and hence there should be better faculty for mathematics. Also, the internals are easy here but the frequency is of 2 internals or upto 3. This college is renowned for BBA hence I chose this course as there wasn't any particular thing which influenced.
Internships Opportunities
Deloitte, KPMG, EY, and in other start-ups also they provide Internships. When we had our orientation week, we were told that if we need an internship or have queries regarding placements or anything, we can reach out to them, the placement cell.
Placement Experience
From 5th semester, students are eligible for placements and internships. Deloitte, Krafton, EY etc companies visit The average offer they make is generally 3-4 8 is the highest package for BBA and 12.5 for PGDM. My plan is to get a big fat package after BBA and gaining work experience for my post graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is in installments- 1st - 1,60,000 2nd - 1,60,000 3rd -1,10,000 4th -1,10,000 10,000/year for books 30000+15000 maintenance(refundable after the course) 50,000 registration Total is - 5.9L The given scholarship they provide are - 1. Army Scholarship 2. Academic Scholarship(you need to have above 85 in 10th and 12th simultaneously) 3. SC/ST Scholarship 4. If you're from the state as same as the college's i.e. Karnataka.
Campus Life
Annual Festivities usually include the festivals like Diwali, Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi etc. There is a fresher party, farewell, cultural weeks, halloween, no bag days etc. The library is not that vast in books but okay I would say, but for only academic books and newspapers. There's a computer lab and WiFi which you can use in the college on the ground floor only and in hostel the WiFi isn't that good and the availability is till 12 in the night. Sports offered are cricket, football, basketball, volleyball which are only for boys but this year they've made a girl's team also for basketball. The playground is very small and now they've reduced it to like half. The clubs here are cultural, CSR, literature and communication, E-cell. Student portal is there is digicampus app but it's of no use.
Hostel Facilities
The space is okay, not very big not very small. There is WiFi that doesn't work properly but it is decent. I am provided with a table with 2 drawers, an iron cot(bed), a plastic chair, a dustbin, sliding window is there. Girl's hostel is double sharing but in few rooms of boy's hostel, there are triple sharing with plenty space. Meals provided are healthy, rarely the food is contaminated here. The taste is very good. The food prepared here is Jain Food. Straight away registration, you pay the fees, you get your name in the list and you're assigned your room. There are many PGs and flats for rent near the college. The warden is horror here as for even walking and going to someone's room, she scolds and threatens to take to the management in college. She has done that. The washrooms are not working properly, some of them not all. We can give Laundry, 40 clothes per month.
Admission
I got accepted from Christ University, Lavasa Campus, Pune, Amity Jaipur, Chandigarh University, Jain University. Previously I applied to Christ University Bangalore Campus and NMIMS Mumbai but didn't attend the entrance exam for both colleges as it was colliding with my NEET exam. The admission process is to apply the form online from website, then you have to go through the interview process and entrance exam. Most probably you'll get selected then you need to pay the registration fees which is 50,000, along with 1st installment and 1,55,000/year if you're opting for hostel. Cut-off is 60%
Faculty
The faculty to students ratio in BBA and B.com is generally 1:60. But in BCA, its 1:18 for the academic year 2024-2027 because there aren't much students here in ISME opting for BCA. The teacher is most like here is Professor Shruthi Nanjappa. She is the most authentic person I met in ISME. The management department is not very helpful as one day I went for correction of my attendance because I was present and was marked absent. Upon giving the application, I was accused of forgery because there was 2 days and he thought only one day's was supposed to be corrected and the other is forged. The exams are very easy, really easy. Most of the students pass but the accounts subject here is tacky to score. That's what I think. There are 7 subjects in BBA semester 1- 1. Fundamentals of Accountancy 2. Quantitative Analysis of Business 3. General English 4. Hindi 5. Management Dyanamics 6. Business Environment 7. Environment Studies
Interview Experience
Basically the topics of discussion in PI was based on my stream that was biology. I was asked questions about chemistry, biology. I had to introduce myself and was asked about current affairs. I had to fill a form and pay 1200 application fees. Then my interview was scheduled. After that an entrance exam was sent. It had basic English, mathematics, gk, logical reasoning questions. Preparation was easy as it was based on 10th standard syllabus for BBA
Night Life
No gyms, cafeteria is there which is attached to the college and if we don't have class on a specific day and the college is open, then we can't enter the cafeteria without wearing formals. This problem can be solved by opening the door which is right in front of the hostel and then we won't need to go from the college area. The college is closed at 9:00 PM. The area is not much as the campus is very tiny so the only spot we have is the amphitheatre. The locality is pretty much safe here. There's a bus stand right beside the college. There is no night life in college. We are not allowed to even walk after 9.
