Remarks

Some of the most significant of these factors affecting these ... many students would never have realized a college degree was still possible. The past two years or so have produced perhaps the most rapid changes ever seen in higher education. The “completion agenda” set forth by President Obama and the Lumina Foundation has enabled institutions to focus on the graduation of all students, rather than only those who enter as part of a specific first-time full-time freshman cohort. Concurrently, the introduction of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) has generated a substantially increased focus on the potential for degree completion through an online environment. These changes have also generated a significant amount of competitive recruiting, marketing and advertising in efforts to enroll mostly non-traditional (older, returning adult) students, the consumers of higher education. With these changes and opportunities come a number of conditions that can facilitate one’s degree completion along with others that might, in fact, impede it. Some of the most significant of these factors affecting these conditions are described below.

Course Curriculum Overview

Though the finalised details of the scheme and syllabus has not been released yet, the following is based on the DRAFT: Now a few subjects in the Foundation Course are subjective. This is good because more students can be filtered out in the initial stage. This way they can atleast focus on career plan B rather than getting stuck. A paper on English language has been introduced at Foundation level which is much required for improving the skills of many CA students. Lack of proper English skills is one of the reasons why organisations prefer MBAs even t...

Before choosing an internship you must determine for yourself what you expect to gain from it. Are you looking for general industry knowledge or are you focusing on a specific skill set? As you determine your objectives, don’t be clouded by the allure of working at a major company when experience at a small business might be best for your career. Remember, when it comes to a job interview, your prospective employer is going to be more concerned with what you learned during your internship rather than where you worked. As you begin to investigate different internships, find out what you can expect to gain and make sure that lines up nicely with your own objectives.

College Events

4

On-campus events play an important role in shaping the social and intellectual fabric of your university’s campus. But if you want to draw a crowd, you’ll need to look beyond lectures, study groups, and job fairs. Make your on-campus event stand out with these Instagram-worthy event ideas:

Fee Structure And Facilities

One feels the fee structure is a bit high. But it's quite reasonable as compared to the other B-school. The only good thing is that IIBS has good placement assistance. IIBS has good ROI. My overall expenditure was around 6 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Studying abroad can be a life-changing decision, however, this doesn’t come easy. Those who want to pursue higher studies abroad, but finding it difficult to arrange for funds, now have the option to make arrangements for funding their education. In this article, we’ll cover each and every detail related to education be it the process to apply for a loan, eligibility or documents required for it. We’ll also cover various other aspects related to student loans like the Indian banks giving student loans or the role of a guarantor.

Hostel Facilities

In the 1st year the fees will be double the fee you will be paying in your upcoming years. There are AC and Non AC rooms and fees will be depending on which room you will be choosing. For girls: single bed, double bed,4 bed and 6bed are available For boys: Single, double, triple, four and six.

Alumni/Alumna

A lot of alumni networks are almost as old as their alma maters. At the start, most of these associations were entirely voluntary, supported solely by individual alumni. Volunteers maintained mailing lists, collected dues to support activities, produced publications, organized events and annual meetings. The world of Alumni Relations has come a long way since its inception in the early eighteenth-century. They became a vital part of most of the educational institutions now thanks to the efforts of many outstanding professionals in Alumni Relations. A good alumni network benefits the institution, current students and as well as its Alumni. It is a win-win situation for everyone. What it holds for the institutions:

You have chosen to teach in higher education because you are a subject-matter specialist with a tremendous knowledge of your discipline. As you enter or continue your career, there is another field of knowledge you need to know: teaching and learning. What we know about teaching and learning continues to grow dramatically. It includes developing effective instructional strategies, reaching today’s students, and teaching with technology. Where is this knowledge base? Books, articles in pedagogical periodicals, newsletters, conferences, and online resources provide ample help. Take advantage of your institution’s center for teaching and learning or other professional development resources.

Placements at Ahmedabad University are structured and well-organised. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and the placements cell starts preparing us earlier through workshops, mock interviews and resume sessions. A good range of companies visit the campus, including consulting firms, it companies, finance and analytics roles, start-ups and well-known multinational organisations. The number of offers varies each year, but most visiting companies recruit for roles like business analysts, software developers, marketing associates, finance trainees and operations roles.

Placement in this college is quite good and it also depends on the grades of the students. Highest package goes to 14 lakhs per annum and the average package goes to 5 to 6 lakhs per annum. As the students enter into their 7th semester the placement process gets started and the students will go into th selected companies in their 8th semester and if the worked well their they can also get PPO which means that they can do their job for permanent time. Percentage of the students last time who got placed in big MNCs company goes to 87 percent and the rest students got their placement in some small company. My plan after my b tech degree is to get higher studies in Mtech by score a good mark in the GATE exam which is going to be held in February month.

Well we are not eligible for placements and I don't know about others. The college says studes have gotten jobs at companies like Google, MS, intel, AMD, Airbnb but not sure how true that is. Don't have info on what package students get on average or who's gotten the highest. Don't have info on percentage of students getting placements, but I ASSUME it's low and obviously students should apply for placements outside of campus anyways.
