Course Curriculum Overview

2

The area of improvement is lies within the college administration, as they should more focused on getting good facilities who understands the students problem and help them rather than target them. So the semister were conducted with 6month gap and in between them 2 mid sem were conducted.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm Rudra Prasad Behera and Joined Vignan institute of engineering and Management (VITAM) in the year 2021. So we have to pay about 5000 for registration and all at the starting. It include all type of paper work and for our uniform also , as we only need to wear uniform for the first year only then we can wear civil dress. So starting from fee I have to pay about 60000 fee . We have to clear about 70% before semister 1 and the rest before sem 2. About hostel fee it is 40000 which includes hostel and canteen in which we have to share our room with 2 more students . In canteen we get 3 time meal , in morning it is breakfast and in afternoon we get a proper meal which is already scheduled for the whole week , in which we get 3 days nonveg but limited and for one time only . And in the night we get dinner but no option for chapati only rice . About other students fee , some students pay upto 1,00,000 as they got late admission and seats were almost filled up so they have to pay extra . Some reserved students also study free of cost as the whole cost is adjusted by the post matric scholarship they got from government.

Campus Life

4

So sports is not good we do our Hostel premiere league and along with a annual sports. We do cultural even once a week and celebrate other festival. Along with there are some other events like food stall and project over view and blood donation camp etc.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facility means a room to share with 2 others , it has attached bathroom, you will a bed and table and chair ,, anything else you need that's will you have to bring. Meal is very low quality, it is fixed menu , nonveg 3 time a week in lunch only , you get kheer in Saturday dinner this much is special everything else is just bad. Hostel registration is not of problems you will have to provide a letter for availing hostel and canteen facility About PG you have to reside in Berhampur and take bus fasility.

Admission

So I have tried some other college in Berhampur like Roland , GIET , NIST etc but I joined the college as my sister has also studied there. So basically we have to appear jee for admission it the same exam to enter any engineering college. So about cut off not much , if you can pay high amount fee. Admission experience is worst as they take my original certificate and create a lot of drama while returning them .

Faculty

1

So basically the faculties we liked and were good left the college this past year. But there some more good facilities. But some of them are terrible like they will pin point you and make you face problems. HOD were not much helping. During semister exam they create a lot of problems for those who haven't paid the fee.

Night Life

1

So we have a gym but it is not satisfactory as there were more students in hostel than equipment in gym . We have sports equipment but that's also a little no. So we have to face a lot of problems. No cafeteria so all that is the canteen that give dinner at 9pm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* I had chosen to do mechanical engineering because I had some bond with machines and it's designing and was also aware with the scopes of mechanical engineering. * In real world the curriculum helped me a lot and still it is helpful, currently I'm preparing for position of junior engineer and there it is quite helpful for me. * I don't think any improvement is required in the course curriculum and teaching methods as everything was good at its place and it's also the responsibility of us (students) to know our curriculum thoroughly and give our best. * Exams were conducted at an interval of 6 months and as said earlier exams conducted were moderate level not too difficult or easy and with studies it can be cleared easily

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
