Review of my college @MCC

I had applied to various colleges in DU, as well as Jamia Millia Islamia. I did not get into these colleges, as I did not qualify after giving the entrance examinations. As I waited for my results which came in October, I had already joined my current college. I also got settled in Bangalore and the city started growing on me though I disliked it in the beginning. The admission process at Mount Carmel was very simple. After applying online, I got a call from my HoD which was my interview. I applied in Christ University for a B.Sc. in Biotechnology but did not end up going to Christ when I heard about it's cons that it focuses more on its outer image rather than imparting quality knowledge. I chose MCC over Christ because it has better placements and better opportunities than Christ. I chose MCC Bengaluru over any college in my hometown Kolkata because over there, there are no colleges imparting such a good course as this and inherently, I knew I had to come here....Read More

I applied to several colleges in and out of Bangalore but what stood out to me in this college was the balance of academics along with co-curricular activities (10+ departmental fests per year headed by different associations) Christ university new campus was very far for me so I had to reject that due to distance factor. There is a small aptitude test for MCC if anyone fails to make it to the provisional merit based list.
