- The best thing about this campus is it's ragging free environment.
- This college has a lot of clubs and extra curricular activities which helps in the holistic development of a student
Dislikes
- The mess food starts getting boring and bland
- The hostel is a total chaos, there is always water or electrical issues. Sometimes WIFI doesn't work and at other times there are bugs inside the rooms.
- Substance abuse is a serious issue. Multiple food outlets are shut down because of weed peddling charges.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is relevant and apt for today's modern evolving world. With the advent of new age technology it is crucial for us to stay up to date with every new software and application that is released. Being skilled helps to secure a prosperous life in this rat race. Every subject is taught and the syllabus is designed in a way that student's will surely find real world application. MATLAB and Iot for us ECE students is a boon. Programming is fun and getting hands on experinece with electronic circuits is eased up by IOT lab classes. The exam frequency is student friendly, assignments and quizzes sure feel hectic but the schedule is adaptable.
Internships Opportunities
Tecahnook is a company affiliated with our college that provides training and internship opportunities for all students and freshers can enroll in their program for work experience and proper training
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements after 4th year. A number of MNCs visit MUJ like Infosys, Google, Hitachi, etc to name a few. Highest package for last year was around 80 lpa and average is around 8 lpa Placement record is around 75-80% I plan on pursuing higher studies after BTech in either MBA or MTech
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee straucture is by no means very affordable but one of the best options in a private engineering college. I am paying around 3 lakhs a year. The administration charges a basic amount of 10k for admission, around 5000 for registration, 25,000-30,000 development fees and 10-15k for lab. The course fee is unanimous for every student irrespective of mode of admission or background. There are countless scholarship options available based on the students merit.
Campus Life
My overall college experinece tillnow has been really fun. Every week there are different clubs organising various events and fests. A number of world class books and journals are available in the libarary and the timings are very helpful for those willing to go the extra mile for added CGPA. If one wants to make a career out of sports, there are ample opportunities in our college. Numerous sports clubs are there. Student run social groups are effective for networking and improving the credibilty of profile during placements
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is better than most government/private institutions. As rightly said by some students, the s in our hostel is silent. The taps have 24 hours hot water facilities, mess provides non-veg food every alternative day, rooms have centralised AC and a fan, laundry and many such other ammenities are available. In fact the hostel campus has various food joints if one wants to eat out. Registration process for applying in GHS is seamless and very easy however getting a room allocated is difficult because of high demand.
Admission
Apart from Manipal University Jaipur, I applied to SMIT. My main reason for nit choosing the latter is not getting my dream course. One might argue about CSE being better than ECE but in the coming years as new technology in the semiconductor field improvises one needs more hardware technicians. I almost got into every college I applied for and if I didn't make it there it's mainly because of my lack of awareness about the test schedule The admission process in MUJ is through the MET exam though our college has provisions for direct admissions and no additional fees is charged
Faculty
The faculty to student relationship is really warm and friendly. The teachers are very approachble and if a student has any doubts, one can easily locate the teacher's office and ask their queries. As a fresher I found the faculty for Computational Mathematics and Engineering Physics meeting the standards set by this esteemed institute. I didn't exactly find the faculty for EMM to be helpful as the teacher was very casual and linient. They are 3 quizzes and Mid Terms and End Terms that make up a Semester. Students find it diffcult to clear the Mid Terms as the transition from 12th grade to college is huge.
Night Life
Hostel has a strict in time of 11:00 p.m for all students and the main gate closes at 9:00 p.m. Locality is in the suburbs but despite that numerous cafes are scattered to cater to the student masses. Traversing is hectic from the main city but if one opts to stay in PG or the college's very own hostel building then transportaion becomes smooth. Nightlife in campus is vibrant
