Life at PCU

The course curriculum has been set up in the way that it matches today's needs and requirements which for i choose this college. There are some areas where the college lags, there should be more tech events and competitions so that students learn through them. The students are also taught foreign languages like German and Japanese. The exam is most probably after 1.5 months they difficulty is moderate to hard.

There are no internships yet, since the college has just started it's been 2 years. But they give some good projects to build, which help in building good resume and working experience, also helps increase problem solving capacity

The fees for the year for Btech CSE / AIML / AIDS is 195000. The course fees may not increase. There is a scholarship criteria, the students who secured 85% and above in 10th grade and 12th grade get about 25% of scholarship, It depends on the marks scored, as in if your score 95 and around in both, you might get 48000 in scholarship, but if it's around 85-86% you might get 25000.

The name of the annual function is Anantham. It takes place in February, there are many more events that take place in the campus. The books at the library are accessible ewsilyand the range is pretty wide, which makes it easier for students to choose from authors for one subject. Every class has a projector and PC's. The event called Kridarambh takes place before the fest, where teams play against each other in different sports.. There are many social groups and clubs formed in the campus.

In girls hostel, there are 3 beds, 3 desks, 3 small shelfs, 3 cupboards, 1 full mirror, 1 sink mirror, a bathroom and seperate washroom, cloth hanger. The food at the girls hostel is pretty good if compared to food outside, the provide breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner The registration for hostel can be done while admission process. If renting a pg or room, you will have to get to the nearby villages or towns, which again become problematic for transportation.

I attempted JER, scored okay, but couldn't get CSE branch in any of the college,I came here, went through the course curriculum and liked it. Decided to take addmission here, cause also the college comes under PCET, so we have same placement cell and PCCOE which was a plus pointthe admission process is pretty simple, get selected, they take an interview, and proceed further with the documentation.

The faculty to students ratio is good, but some of the faculty has zero experience of the subject they are teaching, take an example, some OS teacher is given discrete mathematics as there subject, it becomes a mess, sometimes teacher is confused how are they supposed to clear the students doubt? There are 3 exams per sem, 2 being the UTs and 3rd being the sem end exam. We too have practical exams. We do have extra curriculars in the college: sports and also clubs are formed

For now there is no gym There are 2 cafeterias in the campus one of them closes after the college and one remains open till 9 pm, the library is usually closed on Sundays and daily it closes at 8 pm. The campus in time, if you are going out if 7 pm since the area and locality is not much of a good place, and hostel in time is around 9.30 pm
