What Students Say
Likes
- Infrastructure is pretty good. You'll feel like you are in an engineering college.
- College is all about networking and you'll find good people who are doing something different from others.
- Placement record is great. The T&P cell really look towards having the best placement opportunities
Dislikes
- Faculties are boring. They don't put efforts into teaching.
- Not so much and great events happen in college
- The campus is too small. There's not even a single ground and students have to park their vehicles outside
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is developed by SPPU and it's bad though we are doing Automation and Robotics Engineering we are just learning Mechanical Engineering subjects but just a name change of subjects. If mechanical engineering have a subject name "Design of Machine Elements" we have "Design of Robotic Elements" and the content is same.
Placement Experience
Placement is great. You'll be asked to attend placement talks from the start of the third year. And you're eligible for campus placements from 3rd year. Everyother best MNC companies from Pune come to our college for placements like Mercedes Benz, Philips, Barclays, HSBC, etc. Amazon really like to hold a campus placement in our college. The placement percentage is high for mechanical engineering department and then computer and so on. The highest on campus placement package is 15 or 17 ig. I'm thinking of grabbing placement before my last endsem examination.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm paying 65,230/year fees as I come under OBC and the rest is covered by government. You can check all the fee structure on the official site where category wise fees are given. There are no scholarships like alumni or internal scholarship.
Campus Life
The Clubs in college are trash. There's nothing interesting happening in our college instead our students participate in other colleges events. There's nothing life college life. The library is full of journals and subject and department related books and also some exams related books that can be used to crack the exams. There's no ground in our campus so sports activities don't happen and students run clubs are trash. Tech fest Zion and Cultural Fest Sanskriti happen these are way too low level festivals.
Admission
I scored low in CET and the only option I had is to choose JEE track and I went for this specific college because of its brand name, reputation in pune, placement records and environment. I applied to PCCOE and colleges like that for above ENTC and the robotics branch was available in only 3-4 colleges in Pune so I took the chance.
Faculty
The faculty is the worst part I think about our college. They're hungry for attention and don't really recruit students as a research assistant if they're working on something. Most of the faculty are PHDs and are really intelligent in their respective subject but they don't really teach it that way. If you give them attention they'll give you attention too. I never liked a specific faculty and I hated so many of them one of them is Prof. Yashraj Patil. Without any reason he kicked me out of his class and from that day I don't really like speaking to him but he's the internship coordinator for our department so I now in future I need to talk to him. We have midsems from SPPU then Prelim Endsem from department and then Endsem from SPPU but before that we'll have practical examination from SPPU as well. In first year we were 70 in second year it was 60 and now in third year we are just 57 ig so you can get idea how many students fail to clear exams.
Night Life
We have cafeteria, library only Campus timing is 8 AM to 11 PM. Hostel close before 10 PM at night. There's only buildings and a cafeteria in which barely even 50 people can sit. All hangout places are out of campus
