Likes
- I like the green campus of my college widely spread over 42 acers with very much varieties of plants with some rare species and the old structured department's buildings and the one old building which the big wall clock is embedded.
- I like the gardens with variety of flowers that bloom everyday , common seating areas around the departments , the basketball & badminton court and the huge college ground with over 600 meters of circumference .
- I like the co-ordination of teachers of departments such as chemistry , mathematics , hindi , english and teachers of additional subjects . Till date I have visited many departments but teachers from these departments are seemingly good than other.
Dislikes
- As you all know it is 2024 and in 2025 mahakumbh is going to be organized in Prayagraj , due to this in the college's parking areas was totally looking like slum , some of the labours make their tents there .
- Garden adjoint to maths department was totally destroyed ; which we have cleaned up by our team efforts , one of the boys washroom is also being demolished due to the widening of roads by PWD .
- All things are good in college are good till it comes to marks giving criteria in exams by examiner , yes it is one of the prominent reason here is that students are nit satisfied by their marks because examiner who evaluates copies gives less marks
Course Curriculum Overview
As i have chooen B.Sc(mathematics) due to my keen interest in the maths and physics . On elaborating my further plans I want to crack IIT-JAM with physics and as the syllabus of my colleges mostly matches with such exams and even witth UPSC-CSE's optional subjects and many other state level PCS's exams . So as per the syllabus is up to date and well defined I have choosed this college's course .
Placement Experience
As for UG courses like B.Sc and B.A. no such placements are here but for B.C.A. and B.Com here are placements with varying 2.5LPA to 6.5LPA . For PG couses such as M.Sc with chemistry and mathematics and M.A. with hindi and english internships as well as placements are being provided to the desrving candidates .
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fee structure of B.Sc(Mathematics) for first year according to academic session2023-24 is 100 rupees for registraion of new students in college and course fee for both the semesters is 11,350 rupees in which all the tuition fees, admission fees , developement fees, caution fees and the other compulsory charges are included, and you have to pay 100 rupee to each departments to access your labs ; according to your stream for practical subjects . And if you found guilty in any of the faulty activities conducted by you then you are charged according to the damages you have done.
Campus Life
As describing my overall experience with campus life over one year of span till now is worthy , as you meet new people here , you start studying with highly qualified professors who studied from IISc's ,IIT's, NIT's and well recognized industries . I met with some of the state level players of basketball , volleyball, cricket , chess and meet with professors too who have some other field of interest other than teaching . This add some good qualities in you and make your overall personality more versatile day by day . I have also take active participation in NSS and TSS which also added value to my knowledge and personality .
Admission
As Ewing Christian College is well established name in the field of education and with huge alumni status , curriculum of teaching with responsibility I opted this college over the other colleges that are around me .
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is quiet good as there is also mentor-mentee program by our college management in which a mentor is apointed for group of 30-40 students and student can share their all problems with the mentor appointed to them . This is the best step by our college to enhance the student-teacher interaction .
Night Life
As there is no nightlife in my college but the good fact is you have access to the college's ground , courts of badminton and basketball . The good fact is that students who are willing to come for running , doing physical activity and playing games so for them doors of college is always open from 4 a.m. to 8a.m. in morning and 5p.m. to 8 p.m. in evening .
