Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course and curriculum is very strenuous but the knowledge base it offers is amazing. One of the highlights of CHRIST is their academics itself. It is perfectly distributed across the semesters. Their is practical papers from second year. We have end semester examinations along with 2 continuous internal assessments every semesters which are mostly submission based tasks or quizzes.

Internships Opportunities

5

Every semester there is a compulsory internship. For first year, it is internship at an NGO or similar site for once a week for community service. Second year onwards clinical internships are required for 2 days a week. Also, there is a 1 month internship between the years.

Placement Experience

5

The placement opportunities are limited but since our course requires further education it is expected and students are adjusted to the fact that they won't get high paying placements straight after the course itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees I paid for my course was 1.81 lac for the first year which includes tuition and admission fees. Second year fees is 1.74 lac. Scholarship is available only from second semester that too only of 2-5K

Campus Life

5

There are HUGE number of clubs in the university, sometimes that even gets overwhelming. Furthermore if you wish to start your own club, the university is open to suggestions. Their are university level clubs as well several departmental clubs.

Admission

CHRIST holds a name in the plethora of universities and colleges present in India. Their collaborations and MOU with foreign universities is what made me stick with CHRIST. Their admission process is very rigorous, there are three rounds including an entrance exam, on the spot writing, interview and a presentation.

Faculty

5

Faculties are all very educated and successful in their fields. They have great teaching experiences and none of them seem new to the field. There are about 20-30 faculties in the psychology department.

Night Life

2

Since the college is in Ghaziabad, the nightlife is not very happening and sometimes feels unsafe outside campus. But inside campus it is beautiful with the lights and infrastructure. The library and cafeteria are open till late for people residing around the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

Msc.Biotechnology is a good course. The laboratory aspect has pushed me a bit to make the decision. Curriculum makes us academically good but not good for real world. College laboratory needs improvement in terms of installation of proper laboratory equipments. Teaching skills & class control methods needs improvement. Teaching should be made more industry based and practical based. Exam pattern is good, not very easy to pass, have to work hard to get good marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to study psychology in clinical setting in future. I am interested in therapies and diagnosis but currently I'm focusing on counselling. There were 6 sections of masters in psychology with a ratio of 60 students each class. The faculty was NET qualified and some were doing their PHD along with teaching. The teaching methods was nice as we had access to technology as well like projectors. The material provided to us was really good for our future reference. Exams were held every six months and the difficulty level of exams were moderate.
