Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is very similar to NIS and they prepare you for the industry and also to deliver good work which I find is a good thing. UX design also offers a good salary and that's really what matters after all
Internships Opportunities
Internship is available at college and students do get around 50k stipend over a course of a few months. I am not sure of the companies that have offered it. But it is based on your specialization....
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placement after 7th sem. The companies visited are big ones like IBM, Ola, Deloitte, Google etc. and there have been a hefty numbers of offers made. The highest package yet has been 27 lakhs for User Experience design. And the average is 8 lakhs
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for the first year was about 4 lakhs for tuitions, 1 lakh for mess food and 1 lakh for hostel facilities per year. the fees increases by about 10% every year and will continue till 4th final year
Campus Life
They arrange an annual fest called Hues. Typically held in mid Feb. The library has a large and diverse range of books available and does not feel short. Facilities provided in class are pretty good with projectors, AC etc but could improve.
Hostel Facilities
Facilities provided on rooms are personal washrooms in every room, 3 tables, 3 chairs and 3 beds, they have balconies, shelves and wardrobes and wifi. The mess food is great and menu keeps changing...
Admission
I gave NID entrance but didn't clear it. So my 2nd best option was avantika because it was MIT punes campus and I had heard about it from people. The hostel Life is great and I really enjoy it. The admission process was smooth and without any hassle.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is about 1:45 this is true when talking about foundation year but as you go up it gets to about 1:30. The faculty members I really liked are Anshul Goyal, The dean Raghav Pandya, Deepali Gaur. The ones I disliked are Sanjay jain, Mohit rajora
Night Life
The hostel gates get closed at 11 but you can still get in and out with permission. Gym gets closed at 10.30 pm, there's a night cafeteria till 12am. Haven't felt unsafe here and nightlife in hostel is amazing
