Remarks
The college is very good. One positive remark is that the college has just started and the number of students is less so the faculty is well aware of all the students and pay individual attention too. Also, the campus is good. There is 24 7 wind and a good atmosphere on the campus, long roads for walking and cycling, and running. Football is a little difficult to play as there are no enthusiasts but I hope the batches coming will change the scenario. Also, music is a great way to chill out on campus. There are great instrumentalists in the college including me. I am a pianist too and we have frequent jamming sessions with bonfires and some other cool stuff.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum at this college is good. I am currently just in the second semester but the first semester was good. The courses were very good. Learned a lot. The courses tested our creative thinking skills and cognitive skills. The faculty is also good. Proper time is given to every assignment. Attendance is a must for all the courses. On the basis of all these aspects, every course has a particular number of credits. You have to get them all. If you lack at any aspect, you fail and have to repeat the whole course in the vacations. The evaluation is both internal and external, internal is done by the professors and at the end of the semester, we have a jury where we display all our work done throughout the semester and external jury members evaluate our work. So basically it is very important and easy also. As far as the first sem is concerned.
Placement Experience
Well, we haven't yet been informed about the placements at our college for b. Des as we are just the 3rd batch. The first batch for b. Des passes in the next year. So but, internships are great. Our college offers internship opportunities to students. Many second-year students and third-year students have done internships at some of the great firms.
College Events
Well, I am the club secretary and I am a part of the organizing committee so tbh, there are a lot of events and fests celebrated in the college. From Makarsankranti to holi, valentines week to Lohri, from onam to kite flying, from Ganesh Chaturthi to Christmas. We celebrate and a number of festivals and events. We recently have a cultural fest coming up. We're gonna have a lot of fun. Join us and have fun too.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Well, being frank, it's a design college and it is a general fact that fees at design colleges are high. And keeping in mind that our college is a private one. The fees a really high. The overall yearly fee goes up to 5. 5 lakh.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, our college offers scholarships for the students based on your board marks or your jee score, or if you have any sports achievements like may nationals certificate, etc. Also, loans can be taken to pay fees at the college. I am not very well aware of those things. You may contact the studentsoffice@avantika. edu. in the mail for any details.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is a little imbalanced. Girls are more in number than girls. Sports at our college is just for namesake. There are very few sports played. We play cricket on the ground. Yes, the ground is big. We have a volleyball court where we play volleyball. We play football on roads, futsal type of. We also have a football ground but it is unevenly trained. No caste, gender, or religious discrimination is followed in our college. Clean by all such terms.
Hostel Facilities
I have opted for hostel and tbh. Hostel life is amazing. The rooms are really good and spacious. There's a private bathroom and toilet for every room. The rooms are at sharing. Sharing of 2. And we have individual cupboards for every student, tables, cabinets, shoe racks, a small balcony to every room. What else do you want? And the college is far away from the city so I suggest you stay at the hostel itself.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, the alumni network is helpful. But till now there is just one master's batch who have passed out so they are in touch. Also, seniors are really helpful and always available. The seniors are really talented and skilled at various stuff. Good at sports and music as well. But most importantly they are friendly and approachable. There is no sort of ragging allowed on the campus and neither do students indulge in such activities.
Admission
I was in class 10th when I decided to pursue design as a career. I scored 8. 8 cgpa in class 10th. Took up science in class on 11th. Later I came to 12th and Grew pretty serious about my future after 10 plus 2. So I started browsing for colleges offering b. Des courses. There was NID, IIT MIT, UID, VID, etc. I applied for all of these colleges by filling the registration form and paying the registration fees. I appeared for nid, uceed. But didn't qualify. So just after year's boards, I appeared for mit datvand qualified. At mit I gave the studio test and interview. I waited for their reply but I still don't know why I wasn't selected. But lately, they said that i can get a seat in avantika University. I didn't have any other choice back then so i said yes and booked a seat. They took a telephonic interview and I was selected.
Faculty
The faculty of the College is very good. Good enough. It's been just 6 months but I'm pretty comfortable with all the faculty. Some of the professors live on the campus, some of the professors stay in Ujjain, some of the professors come from Indore which is like an hour of distance. So you can understand how dedicated the faculty is. They are very friendly to the students, they are helpful at all times. You call them any time of the day. They'll never disappoint you. Also, the ones who live on the campus. We have an open invitation to their residence at any time if we have queries. So that is quite wonderful. Also, the faculty understand the level of work given and sets deadlines accordingly some of the faculty is so friendly, so friendly, so friendly that they even play computer games with us like cs go, FIFA, etc. There is also some faculty who teach the b. Des students and side by side are doing masters in the same college.
