Course Curriculum Overview

3

Well computer science course for us started with learning of Python programming which was a bad experimental move. Well now the juniors are taught C as one should be so it is fine. The exam time is of 1 hour for mid exams and 3 hours for semester exams.

Internships Opportunities

3

A virtual, free internship oppurtunity was given for us. Ir was Eduskills AICTE program in collaboration with programmes from AWS or google or companies like Pwc etcetera for areas like AI, ML, cloud, IoT e.t.c. You also get to choose a paid internship to go to Hyderabad and work on interested atead like the said technologies or you could also opt for paid virtual internisjip both via phoenix global company.

Placement Experience

3

Well this time recession when our placemnet swason started during our 3rd final year. It went on until final year and few months about 4 months after graduation. We did get few mass hiring companies to collegw apparently because students lacked skill, apparently. Also big big tip: opt for service based company crt service - company recruitment training course during your 2rd year placement training time, since it saves you the double the amount that you otherwise have to pay if you choose product based training which was about 18,000 rupees for us.

Fees and Financial Aid

In 2020, i paid about 3 lakh per annum, now in 2024, it increased to 4 lpa. During the entrance exam or admission test- GAT, u get to score in a way u can get 10 or 25 or 50 or 75% scholarship. A friend of mine got it and had to maintain it until last year of ofcourse. You can also avail sibling scholarship if your own elder sibling studied there. There is nothing like lab fees, but well there are 2 courses called Environmental related and Constitution courses for which you are told to pay a fee of rupees 1000 to be able to write an exam and get a certificate. You can opt not to if you don't find it necessary.

Campus Life

3

There is kalakrithi fest that is cultural clubs events for about 3 days in a year from 5 pm to 11 pm or so. And an annual fest called "Shore fest" that gows for 3 days where in other campuses from Hyderabad and Bangalre too join in cultural performances, here you might see a few celebriries that are called. Last year we had prom event and there is Smartideathon fest to pitch your ideas and get grants. KRC is the library and you get to borrow selected books for anout 14 days. You can also find non fiction books to read in the second floor ie referance section. You also have digital library area to use computers in there for study purpose. I was a part of acting club for about an year, my only pointer to you is enjoy that time, don't force yourself to get out of your comfort zone and fight your fears. It will automatically happen so don't stress. Clubs take your classes time as well as the class (i.e that lecture) so look out. For the most part, lectures are taught via presentations.

Admission

This college is known for placements. So we opted this, me and my parents. The admisiikn process is based upon admission test - GAT. Thereon you are categorised into a section and for every 21 students, a mentor is assigned and as for mentor, just pray that you get a good mentor, since thwre is definitely someone that can be called a good mentor against a bad one since the good ones listen to your problem and try helping you by suggesting a good faculty to choose for the next course and might as well help with teaching you if you have any doubts in any extra hour they get.

Faculty

3

There were many faculties so to define the faculty-to-student ratio. Some of the faculty are respectful and enter the class, take attendance seriously and utilize the entire hour to teach effectively. My favourite faculty is Bhavani.M ma'am, she taught us python very patiently. Faculty i don't like are ones that usually teach us elective courses since they themselves don't take the courses seriously at all. There are 3 mid exams , initially it was for 30 marks but by the 3rd year second sem or seventh semester it is of 20 marks each. And then we have semester exams. Make sure to ask about exams syllabus or you might be told of them only about 3 days before.
