Honest opinion about my college

The course curriculum is actually relevant to the current trends and market, which made me choose this course. And they keep on updating the curriculum which is good. The teaching methods can be improved in aspects of giving practical knowledge rather than providing theoretical knowledge. If they try to provide more practical knowledge with the curriculum it would be great for the students. The exam timings should be improved in terms of preparation time. They only give one day gap between exams which is so bad. Atleast two days gap is required to prepare for the exams. The time gaps between exams should be improved. Other than the main exams there are also tests inbetween which is also good.

There are not much offers made in the internships, but there are some guidance for the internships and how to get them. They dont particularly offer them, maybe only some. Projects are good the outcomes are relevant

The students are eligible for placements after 3rd year. There are many companies visiting the college like TCS, Cognizant, Zoho, Capegmini, Sopra Steria, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, etc. Offerse made were more than 50. The percentage of students placed will be almost 98-100 percent.

The course total fee is nearly 350000. For the course per year they charge 80000. And othere than that there will be lab fees like 2000-3000 per year varies depending on how many labs or practicals we need to attend. And there will be breakage fees per year like 2000. If you opt for transport from college, fees will be according to your distance like 15000-20000 and above. There is CENTAC scholarship if students join via CENTAC there will be 25000 reduction in your fees every year. Then there is examination fees it changes every year approx 300 per paper will be the examination fees and there is also arrear fees. So overall it would cost nearly 350000 without transportation

The overall experience with the campus life is average in my opinion. The books and journals in libraries are good. The drawback is there not many culuturals or events in the college. There is only studying nothing other than that much for enjoyment. Technical aspects are okay. There is not much extracurricular activities here. And I have no idea about student run groups here.

I have applied for other colleges like Pondicherry University and also got a confirmed seat there but after knowing the teaching there will be not much good and there will be only lot of self learning i chose this college. Upto my knowledge they dont accept any exams. The eligibility for the college is via CENTAC and also via management. For management you should be paying some donation amount. There are no actual eligibilities for management maybe more than 50 percent marks in 12th.

The faculty to student ratio is about 10:180. There are nearly 6-10 exams in each semester. And almost 90 percent of the students able to clear all the exams. The course curriculum is very relevant to the current trends and also they upgrade it relevantly. Some staffs are very strict and rude and not being friendly with the students. Only few faculties were good in my department, it is especially because of the HOD of the department, the HOD is very strict and treats the student without friendliness. Always being rude to the students.
