5.1 How to Apply?
MEC, Viluppuram offers 12 courses across 3 streams namely Engineering, Management, IT and across 4 degrees like BE, ME, MCA, MBA.The college offers six undergraduate courses and six postgraduate courses for professional courses as a full time course.

MEC Villupuram Admission
Admission into B.E/B.Tech. are on the basis of TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Test) score, while for admission in postgraduate programmes (M.Tech./MBA/MCA), students have to appear for TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) in order to be eligible for admission. Selection is based on TANCET Scores through Counselling.
How to Apply?
- Candidates may apply for TNEA/TANCA counselling by visiting the Anna University website. Alternatively, they may directly visit the dedicated TNEA or TANCA websites and fill the online registration form.
- The application fee for TNEA/TANCA can be paid online through various payment modes such as credit/ debit card, internet banking etc. Candidates can also choose to pay the application fee through demand draft drawn in favour of Anna University, Chennai.
- The next step is to take a printout of the complete application form, a copy of which must be sent along with all necessary enclosures to the Director of Admissions, Anna University or to the Principal of the College.
- After submission of application forms and payment of application fees by candidates, Anna University publishes a merit list based on 10+2 marks (for TNEA)/ GATE or TANCET marks (for TANCA) for counselling purposes. Candidates must download the counselling call letter from the Anna University website and appear for their respective counselling on the allotted dates. Seats are allotted only after documents verification, hence the candidates are required to carry original copies of all relevant documents to the counselling venue

Library : Facilities starting from Library having excellent 38.550 volumes of technical, Humanities and Sciences and its related fields and subscriptions to over 266 National and International Journals. For differently abled students, it comprises an Audio-Visual section equipped with video cassettes and CDs, Bar-Coding and Internet Connectivity. Reprographic Facility is also available. Apart from this central library, each department has a departmental library with all the required text and study material prescribed by Anna University for that particular department.

The cell conducts the meeting to know the problems of the students and counsellings are given to those who face the problems.
