Remarks

Postive about the University is its infrastructure and facilities provided to the students. Negative are the rules, there are tons of the rules imposed over the student limiting them to feel the courtesy and pride in visiting the college every day. This prohibit the students to enjoy there college life.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is designed as to fulfil the needs of the students. They keep of updating their curriculum as per the best suitability and need in every semester. This could help students in efficient learning. Teachers used to change and adapt to fulfil the needs of students such as e-learning (PPT), notes as well as book preference. Exam structure is simple and favourable to students, there are 2 Mid sessional test (MST) which contributes to the internal (40 marks - with MST this includes Assignment [3] + Seminar [1] + Class Test [2] etc) and final semester exam is of 60 Marks. Hence total marks are from 100 (40 Internal + 60 External). Benefit are that there is relative marking i.e; Marking is done by assuming the topper's mark as the maximum marks not the 100. You can also avail additional 2 marks for maintaining attendance above 90%.

Placement Experience

2

Placement are not upto the mark of satisfaction. You may understand with the current situation (19 Mar 2019) that is there is hardly a month left for the completion of the course but still there are not much companies visited for placement (Hardly 4-5, from which only 2 are from pharmaceutical profile) due to this there is only one student is placed yet. Yes, it provide internship for selected course and only with reputated company. As i written that it provide internship to the selected course and we are not from the positive ones, so i have no idea about the internship.

College Events

4

Except from the festival celebrations Chandigarh University organises several events. These events are :- CU Fest - This the cultural fest in which there are entries across the nation and represents them at the single platform. Students have the opportunity to observe and experience different cultures of india. TechInvet - This the technical event again in which there are entries across the nation to respresent there technical ability. There are exclusive cash rewards for thw participants and winner. Lohri,

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is not good as much as it can be. In my opinion it is 50% worth for the facilities and education. As it is private funding University the fees is much higher as compared with other reputated colleges. It is worthing for the students those are enthusiastic for the events such as Live Concerts and Events organised with the film celebrities as they have to pay money if they want to visit such events outside. It is expensive

Fees and Financial Aid

You can avail all the scholarships schemes provided by the Government of India. Whether it is of state, category, defence personnel, extraordinary achievements etc. You can also avail the scholarships provided to the topper of your department. Loan facility is also provided from wide options of banks to choose from. SBI, PNB and HDFC are available in campus for the ease of students.

Campus Life

4

The extracurricular activities are good to participate in them. The University have different extracurricular activities going throughout the year which provide student to participate in them and not only for the students belonging from the organising department. Such kind of opportunities helps the students to grow in different fields and not only in their pursuing field. They also provide the certificate even participating one which ultimately helps in creating resume profile. Labs are installed with the best equipment possible for the better learning of the students. The teachers also help students in learning different things withe the help of practicals. There are different sport facilities are available to opt out from as per the interest of the students. Main concern is of attendance during such sports activity or extracurricular activities which is eliminated by providing them Duty Leaves.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is developed by the university but we have not listen much about that portal in our early semesters not found it helpful yet. Now in 8th semester we have to register on this alumni portal. We are not connected with this portal as well as with our senior students. We have listen about this from our teacher that he is connected with 80% of the senior students and aware with there current success. This is not helpful for the students

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is mostly good and also can be excellent as per your behaviour towards them. Frank and open mindedness they will support in you in every aspect as much as possible. One thing resist them to help you is the protocols and rules implemented by the University except this they help you in any matter.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This aligned with my dream of staying intact with medicine as the main part of curriculum but in an entirely different way . You get to learn about how it's discovered, designed, undergoes different preclinical , clinical trials ,manufactured , and then distributed under the related ethics, laws and regulations . You cannot wholely depend on faculty for your training for next entrance exam but need to put extra efforts to get by yourself and practice harder for GPAT. The faculty teaches as per the PCI guidelines for IKGPTU examination.

Time of the exams was good as proper days were given to prepare and difficulty level was normal not that hard any one can pass if they study properly

the placement is good in this campus but in our course we gets maximum 5 or 6 lakh package but not more then this but there are too many opportunities in government field and the private sectors by clearing tests we can get a good salary with good amount of package so we need to take good cgpa in the exams by which our final cgpa would be decided so we could get a good placement in this course mainly we need good score for a good placement
